"Paris wake up, honey. We are here," my mom shook my arm lightly.

I groaned and sat up from the seat. The sky was gray and cloudy.

We were parked in front of a small brown house.

"Put your sweater on it's pretty chilly outside," my mom said before getting out of the car.

I turned on my phone and saw that Andrew texted me.

Text me when you arrive.

I ignored it and put my phone back into my bag. I got out of the car and walked to the trunk where my mom was unloading our bags onto the ground.

"Moving is so strange," I stated. My mom laughed at my expense. I gave her a weird look. He smile dropped.

"You have moved before."

"When I was like one. I don't remember moving. Why can't we just go back to Oregon?"

"You know why," my mom gave me a stern look and picked up her bags and went inside the house. I actually never knew exactly why we left Oregon. My mom because of work, but I could tell she was lying so I just brushed it off.

I reached down to grab my bags off the grown and headed towards the front door.

"This is it," I huffed underneath my breath. I turned the knob of the door and opened it to see a house full of boxes.

"The movers must have dropped off our stuff already," my mom said from the kitchen. The kitchen was not huge but not too small. I knew that my mom would like it.

My mom saw me inspecting the house. It had white walls with hardwood floor. If my mom decorates it correctly, it could actually feel homey.

"Go pick out your room," my mom pulled my hair that was in my face behind my hair. I nodded and walked to the hallway.

There were boxes and every room. I looked inside one and saw that, even inside the rooms, the walls were painted white.

One door was closed at the end of the hallway unlike the others. I opened and almost had a heart attack.

There was a boy standing in the middle of the room with a box in his hands. He was wearing a plain white t-shirt with skinny black jeans. There were tattoos covering his arms and at the nape of his neck. He had long curly brown hair that reached the top of his neck.

He was starring at me with a startled look. I probably had the same expression.

"Um...who are you?" I asked slowly.

He gave me a look that basically read dumbass. If I didn't know better, I could see his eyes raking down my body. I looked shit so he probably wasn't pleased.

"Hello?" I asked rudely.

"What!" the boy snapped his eyes from body to my face. Or at least I thought it was my face.

"Who are you and why are you in my house?"

He scoffed and walked past me into the hallway. I heard the front door slam shut.

What was that?

I walked back into the kitchen. My mom was organizing the pots and pans on the floor.

"Mom, who was that?" I asked curiously. I was so confused why there was a boy in my room. What I was more confused about was why he was rude to me and wouldn't answer my damn question.

"Who?" my mom stood up from the ground.

"The boy who just walked past here."

"There was no boy," my said with a confused expression on her face. That makes two of us.

"Well there was a boy in my room who had a box in his hands." I had already decided that I wanted that room because it was the only room with color on the walls. Well it was black, it was better than plain white.

"Oh that must be The Boy. I got an email yesterday from the family who lived here before us saying that there will be a boy, their son, here taking the rest of their boxes out," my mom smiled and sat back on the ground. She took a pan out of one of the boxes and placed it in a drawer.

I turned on my heal and went back to my room. There was a small bed on the right side of the room. I dropped all my things and flopped onto the bed. Tomorrow is going to be my first day at this college I don't know the name to. I didn't bother to remember the name because I knew I wouldn't like it, but I'm pretty sure it has a really good film program. I know it's going to be rough since it's November and the first semester is almost done. I ignored the butterflies in my stomach and turned on my side facing the wall.

I could feel my eyelids getting heavier and heavier by the second. And even though it was only 7:30, my eyes shut close and I was fast asleep.
