"Colby! Colby! Wake up! Wake uuuuupp!" I open my eyes to see 2 twin boys at my side, tugging at my arm. "Eli, Tam. Haven't I said if I'm asleep not to wake me unless-" "unless Mrs Kilton said to come get you, we know" they said in unison. "God you two creep me out sometimes".
"Boys! I told you to wake him, oh my apologies it seems your already up" oh I hate this bitch "it's okay Mrs Kilton" I said with a smile. She left not long after and the boys followed almost every morning was like this i hated it here, I'm sure every one of us does but I'm the oldest kid here I'm 17 and when your an orphan and you get to a certain age everyone else is like your birth parents no one wants you.
But a few weeks before my 18th birthday I was adopted I was happy to get out of that place I thought nothing could be worse but I was wrong.
The first few days were ok but the so called father was a drunk and not the friendly kind he hit my mother well the mother she was no mother of mine she was not much different she wouldn't defend herself against him but she took it out on me.
Then a few years later he took it to far punched me in the stomach and then in the face I remember this burning hot rage filling my body every thing went black.
I woke up on the floor only to the glass everywhere from bottle I had tiny little cuts all over my body it was like the glass was caught in a tornado inside the house they looked a lot worse than me the father looked like he was in the tornado too he was batted and bruises I didn't know if he was alive, I grabbed my bag and I just ran I ran as fast as I could. Outside, through the garden, over the fence and deep into the woods. I sat there for hours the sun was coming up and i said to myself "it's pretty, the sky is kind of purple, no lilac it's lilac. The suns up that means it is now january 2nd i'm officially 21" as I spoke these words o felt the most excruciating pain running through my head then to my chest and finally it spread through my entire body. It was so painful my body felt both hot and cold at the same time. Completely numb yet I could feel everything. And then all of a sudden just nothing no light no sound no smell just nothing like a void. I awoke in the dark on the forest floor I ran into the city I found a pub walked in sat down ordered a drink the next thing I knew I woke up next to a blonde haired boy fast asleep. My first though huh he's kinda cute. My second thought. Where the fuck am I?
