Hinata stared at the dead body of her cousin emotionless, this was the second this has happened. Second time, what was wrong with this timeline? Why did this happen? Naruto also looked down at Neji's body horrified. She thought she could prevent it, fuck she even used air palm to push the wood back.

But no, Neji wanted her and Naruro safe; regardless of time or event, he'd sacrifice himself for them.

Hinata felt the tears well up in her eyes, why couldn't she be numb to this? It happened over again, she hated herself for being weak; she hated Madara and Obito for being selfish , she hated Hashirama for feeding onto this corrupt system.

She looked at Naruto's stone cold face, anger bubbling within her as Obito's speech cut through her. She cut him off, loud and clear and glared straight at him.

"Those who choose to be selfish for their own gain....are the worst scum to ever weak in the this Earth...."

Those cold and fierce words made Obito take a step back, and look at her in shock.

"We aren't here for the thrill of it, we are fighting for our homes; are family! Even if it means death! I will not let you slander my brothers death for your own selfish gains!"

She turned to Naruto and kneeled down to him, she lifted her hand and slapped him.

He looked at her in shock, her fierce but comforting eyes woke him from the trance he was once in.

"Naruto....Neji died for our safety, he died because he wanted us to live; his destiny became more then what he first thought it was, don't let those memories you've had with him disappear; stand with me....hold my hand, and let's all face this problem together once and for all..."

The feeling of Naruto's warm hand held on to her, it felt like the last time; but it didn't feel the same, to her if felt like a friend keeping her in one piece.

"Hinata..." Naruto's soft voice cut through her thoughts, it was in slow motion.

Like everything around them stopped moving, Hinata looked into her ex-lovers eyes and saw that same warmth Hashirama once gave her.

It was symbol of trust, loyalty....and love; maybe in this timeline....

"Thank you...."

She could find happiness and love again....

Hinata's speech gave a rise to Sakura, feeling the core of her emotions. This was the second time, the second time they failed.

She looked at Sasuke, the resemblance to Madara was uncanny.

She bowed her head and felt the sudden fire grow within her, she was better now; she did better now. No more second mistakes she promised herself.

"Sakura?" Kakashi's voice cut in, Sakura snapped her head to her old sensei. He looked worried, she gave him a reassuring smile.

"Kakashi sensei....remember when you first met me?"

"What a strange question from you, yes I do....you were very weak back then; but still I could see so much potential blossom from you" Sakura blushed at that, yeah she was pretty weak but.....

"Have I changed since then?"

"Yes....yes you've had, you've grown into a beautiful flower Sakura..."

Flower....Madara once compared her hair to one.

"You're hair was once short and spiky, but now it's long and flowy....like a flower"

Madara....she hated him, she hated how selfish he was; she hated how he only thinked about himself in situations, she hated how he started a generation long rivalry; she hated him condoning the corruption on Konoha.

Yet....Yet....

She still loved him, tears were welling up in her eyes.

"Oi Sakura, dont cry now! Hey come on, let's sit you down; the war can wait for you...."

Kakashi ushered her to a nearest rock. There she sat down, head bowed and covered by her spiky bangs.

'Kami....Oh Kami, why did you do this to me? Why did you make fall in love with a man like him??'

Kakashi only sat by her, comforting her as the battle raged on.
