No, it wasn't his fault but he was still ready to ask for forgiveness.
He tried talking to you by standing outside your house for the long cold nights, knocking and asking you to come out and waiting like always...
He tried calling you from different phone numbers, texted you from your friends phone but you never answered and moved on instead.
It had been a while since he'd posted something because he was hurt, angry, disappointed and mad at himself and you. A few years later, he became what he wanted to become.

He put his feelings in words but they couldn't ever describe how he actually felt. Yes, he still missed you, never moved on but wrote songs with the picture memories of you and him. One of his own composed lyric was

And that is what happened. He knew for all this time, you'd leave one day like others did
