Hi. I'm Alice. I'm 19, and I live in Del Sol Valley with my friends: Zöe Rose, and Alonzo. We live a pretty good life, and have a great time together. I'm studying to become an engineer at the University of Britechester. But something just doesn't feel right. I was happy engineering when I was a kid, but now, I'm just not that interested anymore. I'm just trying to see where my life takes me, but I'm not so sure that this degree will be worth it. I've been looking for places to move to, and I found a small town called Glimmerbrook. It looks perfect for me! I'm going to talk with my parents and friends, and see what they think.

A few days later, I told my parents. They were shocked that I didn't want to go through with the engineering degree, but they still supported my decision. After that, I told my friends. They were all for the idea! As long as I stayed in touch! So right then and there, I packed my bags and bought the house that I had my eye on. I got an Uber, and was suddenly headed to Glimmerbrook.

As I sat in the Uber, silent, looking at all the beautiful scenery, the driver started to make small talk. He asked, "what's your name?" I replied, "Alice. Alice Street." "That's a beautiful name!" He replied. "My name is Cody." He said. "That's a nice name." I said, as I stared out the window, not really interested in our conversation. It was about a 2 hour drive to Glimmerbrook from Del Sol Valley. We only had a few minutes left until we entered Glimmerbrook.

As soon as we entered Glimmerbrook, my face lit up, my eyes wide. It was even more gorgeous in person. This is where I was meant to be. I could feel it. We arrived at my new house. I payed, got out, and entered the dusty old cottage. It obviously needed some work, but I was definitely up for the challenge.
I rented a bike, and went to the local dollar store. I bought some cleaning supplies, headed home, and got to work.

I dusted, sweeped, mopped, wiped, scrubbed, polished, and vacuumed. In no time, the place was looking spotless! The place had also come furnished. I was really starting to like my new home. I took a shower, and headed to bed. And I'll see where the world will take me.
