you had been best friends with (bias) since you were children.
you grew feelings for them. you doubted it was mutual.
recently, they had started losing weight and closing themself off. not only from you— from everyone.
you were worried. very worried. they wouldn't tell you what was going on. whenever you tried to confront them, they'd change the subject or avoid you completely.
and then you saw the hurtful messages they'd been receiving.
you hadn't meant to snoop— their phone had just gotten a notification when they were in the washroom, and your concern and curiosity got the best of you.
you didn't recognize the name of the person harassing (bias), but the things they had sent were horrible.
you were snapped out of your thoughts when (bias) suddenly snatched their phone out of your hands, eyes wide as they spoke with a defensive anger you'd never heard from them before.
"what the hell are you doing?"
