Guardian - Dean x Castiel

Chapter 1 - Fallen

Ever since Castiel raised Dean from Hell and certain death, he has been devoted to ensuring Dean was protected and guarded. Castiel made it his duty to protect Dean, a duty driven by his secret love for him.

While investigating cops who have died of plague like symptoms, Sam, Dean, and Castiel find that Aaron Birch, the young brother of a man the cops murdered, has a piece of the Staff of Moses, which Balthazar sold him in exchange for his soul. Castiel finds out it was Balthazar through reading a mark on the boy's soul. Balthazar later tells Castiel that he has no intention of returning to Heaven, and he flees when Raphael appears with other angels outside the house.

 ~The house is dark, and Dean feels the presence of an angel~

Dean: Better late than never

Balthazar: Sorry, you have me confused with the other angel. You know, the one in the dirty trench coat who's in love with you.

Dean: In love with me? C'mon, that's a bit far. Cas and I are brothers.

Balthazar: Oh, so it's incest? 

~Castiel appears~

Castiel: What was that?

Balthazar: If it isn't the angel himself, you've found me. 

Castiel: I'm not the only one. Raphael and troop are waiting outside.

Balthazar: Well, i'm not going back to the boss. 

~Balthazar leaves~

Castiel: Well, where were we? 

Dean: I think this will explain

~Dean kisses Castiel tenderly~

Castiel: Exactly what I was hoping.
