Seth Flewin wondered how this could have happened. What the hell just happened? There was a dagger in his chest, an odd looking dagger with pulsing white lines, but back to the point where did it come from? Who would through it at him? We're they aiming for her majesty and just hit him instead?
______________________________________________________________Life was created and living beings were born. Humanity rose and became strong despite being weaker than the other races. The humans banded together created civilizations and became stronger as a whole.
The kingdom of Kamin, was dominating and considered to be the strongest human ruled kingdom, but was a little on the small side territorial wise packed into a small remote region bordering the ocean. The kingdom of Kamin was know for their ability to clear out and harvest the toughest dungeons and monsters, and soon was a rich kingdom as well.
Seth was born in the poorest sector of the Kamin Kingdom with absolutely nothing to call his own. No parents past his fifth birthday, no money three months after they died, and definitely not a house for him to reside in a little after that either. Granted the house was like a shack on its last legs, but it was still livable. Seth quickly became self dependent. Children were looked down upon for not knowing the ways of the world, but for Seth he had already learned them by his sixth birthday. All of them. Every single unspoken rules of the world. People are mean, people are cruel, power means protection, money is power, and knowledge is power. This he found out the hard way. being poor did not allow for a good education, for better words it offered nothing to that category.
Seth was forced onto the streets for everything he required to live. He stole sometimes but mostly begged for what he needed to live. Fighting off others for his food or to take their supplies instead, he grew up with a blade and became used to the blood and death in the back alleys hidden from the rest of the world.
When he turned eight he gave up on his life on the street and went to guilds to sign up for work, but he was always to be rejected because of age. At this point Seth held his life as if it was held no value. He would do anything for money even if it would kill him. Eventually, Seth got tired and just stole away on a wagon to a dungeon.
Thus started his long career of adventure and death. He killed everything in his path, from pond fish to fire breathing dragons. His success lead to his being awarded the title of the kingdom's Hero at the age of sixteen. Seth moved up many stations since his early childhood.
That morning, he got up like every morning in the palace's guest wing where his home was ever since becoming the Hero. Long floor to ceiling windows, curtains, a soft and warm bed, a fancy dresser, a closet, it had the whole shebang. It was what one expected from a royal room.
It was an odd place to live, but apparently her highness, chose it to make ambassadors and diplomats feel safer. It was a definite change from what he was used to living in though. He didn't the company in his living area as long as they didn't share a room.
It was weird looking back at his life thinking about how much had changed. He grew up with nothing, worked hard, then could now get anything he wanted.
He got up and went to the dining hall for breakfast. To receive what he got everyday. Porridge, an apple, and a glass of water. Hey it worked and Seth was not a picky eater in the slightest. Seth went through the motions of every day life up until he went out the entry gate. Seth had made it a habit to stroll to the barracks every morning, and took to the same path as usual, through the front entrance to the path in the left.
He took one step then crumpled to the ground. It hurt so much, like a fire spreading over all his body, starting from his center and spreading to all of his limbs. Seth took one look down at his chest the source of the pain and thought, 'I am going to die'. He knew that today he should have worn his armour, and cursed himself for it. He looked up at the sky and thought about how pretty the blue was. What a word thought to think it usual always was blue.
As Seth accepted his death, he saw a black class figure approach him. It was female at least it was more in likely female based of of the curves. It could have been from one of the monster tribes, they were hard to identify gender from. The black figure had approached closer to him holding another dagger like the one in his chest. Looking closer, it had these lines carved into the blade and they pulsed with a white light. As he looked the class figure in the face, Seth wondered who she was.
"You're mine," the class figured whispered above his head, "and guess what. Your dead."
he black clad women brought down her other knife, and slashed Seth's head off of neck. All at once everything blurred and became dark. His head rolled down the steps of the entrance, and his blood splattered the steps and floor. The women then took a step back and pulled out a cube. She retrieved her other dagger from his chest and pressed a button on the cube. The women blurred and shifted out of the dimension.
Seth woke to find himself on a bed, which was quite uncomfortable. His hands and feet were tied, which was odd because didn't he just die. He was stabbed and had his head cut for crying out loud why did he have to be tired up in death. He turned his head to look at his surroundings, but stopped as he saw something floating in front of his face with letters on it. It was times like this that he wished that he could read. Being poor did not help one's education. Seth stared at the floating unknown object until it vanished from sight.
"What the-," he started, then was cut off by a loud beep. The beep became louder and louder then was silent. The silence was replaced with a talking voice that seemed to come around him.
