If Only You Knew

Chapter 1

Shannon Carson, one of the most successful business woman of her time being of all but 30 opened her eyes to the bright sun greeting her. Morning approaches as she dreads of the thought of going into work this morning after a long awaited weekend at the club with her peoples: Savannah and Brittany, she forced herself up to at least sit on the bed.

"Damn what the hell happened to me last night?", Groaned Shannon as she touched her head realizing drinking Henny with a touch or petron and tequila weren't a good combo. After a few minutes, she manages to get up, shower letting the warm water hit her body giving her that sense of relief.

Coming out the shower finding clothes to wear to work, her phone vibrated in which she looked at it. "Yo bro what up tho. That party was lit all them bad honeys were mmm mmm mmm."

Savannah voice came on the other end of the FaceTime call. "Yeah bro it was lit but man never will I drink that much bro. Listen we shooting hoops later right? I wana kick your ass cuz u beat mines."

"Yea we on for hoops later but you can never beat my ass bro we'll see on the court 6 pm." Shannon laughed in agreement to the time hung up and finished getting ready for work. One thing about Shannon anything that she wears automatically be catching a females' eyes like she knew she looked good.

Dressed in her casual business pants with a crisp white dress shirt and tie she was ready for business this day. Heading out the house walking to her beautiful Sexy black Audi revving up the engine she decides to head to the coffee shop near her office.

Her usual breakfast: Bagel with cream cheese with a banana along with orange juice and coffee. As approaching the door entering the coffee shop, something caught her eye that she couldn't ignore. The girl ringing up customers giving that beautiful smile something about her is different unique.

Beautiful almondy skin with the dark golden brown eyes to match. Long jet black hair in a cute little bun with some cool glasses almost look nerdy type but thinking of nerds underneath is a beast that's ready to awaken her desires.

She looks new that works there but never seen her. Definitely someone to know more but can she handle Shannon's weakness or is she one to break the mold? Shannon studies her as she greeting each and every customer with that beautiful smile. She can't but help be wondering if she's ever into women.

Reaching up to the counter, Amber as always greets the person with a smile but this next customer makes her smile extra wide almost impossible to speak.
"Welcome to Starbucks how may I help you today? Um we have um a yummy special today um"
"What specials do you guys have?"
"Our famous  toasted cinnamon raisin bagel with strawberry cream cheese"
"I'll take that as well as a banana with orange juice and a medium coffee light and sweet please that will be all. You're new here?"
"Um yeah actually I just started here it's pretty close to where I live so I can walk and enjoy the city life. I actually just moved here to Chicago."
"Nice. Where you from originally?"
"I'm from New York need a change of scenery"
"Nice well welcome to the Chi town."

Amber manages to hide her red blush from her cheeks. Giving her receipt, she watched as Shannon left the coffee shop. Amber was definitely going to like Chi town after all someone delicious has captured her sweet tooth. While refilling the coffee grinder, Megan her best friend and coworker was noticing her giddy excitement earlier.

"You mega giddy girl wasup with you this morning?"
"Girl this gorgeous caramel came in here ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel with strawberry cream cheese our famous special."
"So who's this mystery woman."
"Shannon"

Megan propped her head up real quick.
"Whoa whoa back the hell up did you just say Shannon as in Shannon Carson the most eligible stud muffin that works right across at that building. Girl don't mess with her. She always has women around her girl don't even bother. She's not built for settling down trust me."

Amber dreaded the fact that her secret crush is a womanizer because she being at the age of 32 she would love to settle down with someone, waking up to them and coming home to them from work, basically having a family. After hearing that, her dreams were shattered o well back to the drawing board.
