Mary Ann had finally lost everyone. As she held onto the urn that held her mothers ashes she looked out to the ocean and wondered to herself, "Is this really all there is? Pain and suffering and heartache."
Her father was gone, her mother was dead, and her tears slowly fell into the ocean around her ankles. The coarse sand at least helped her feel something that wasn't numb.
Mary Ann tightly held her dead mother and as she felt everything and nothing, she felt alive and dead, yet also full and empty, she screamed into the void. The world had become night all around her and there wasn't a soul around her. She screamed and she fell to her knees being unable to grasp the thought that she could ever be happy again.
The urn slipped out of her hands and the lid fell off and her mother's poor ashes and urn were pulled deep into the ocean, when Mary Ann tried to gasp for air she realized it had slipped. Her heart stopped and she crawled, getting pulled by the sand praying to god she hadn't lost the only person she had left.
She felt the algae and the seaweed and the seashells scrapped her knees and she kept grabbing the empty sandy water, but it was no use. Her mother was gone. All her feeling was gone. She was gone. She was empty. The clouds let out a soft boom from deep into the unknown, a storm was coming and she didn't care. All she could do was sink into the water and let it drag her not caring for anything. It started raining, she started sinking, and she finally started to feel free.

WHATS UP GUYS so for people who have been here awhile some of you know that I had originally posted a part two of the beginning I started going through some things and I took a break so here's a refresher of what's going on
1. I'm rewriting The Beginning HOWEVER I'm keeping the original uploaded for now I don't think I'll ever delete it from my archives if I unpublish it because of the meaning behind it however I am rewriting it and I knew I was going to make some changes and there were just some things that I wanted to remember the original of
2. Guys I have a laptop after about 2/3 months if needed one I have one. I'm very proud of myself because hopefully this means more writing and more support.
3. I am only uploading once every one or two weeks BECAUSE I'm using a writing app to help me get more words in because short chapters have been a problem and a lot of people agree the original was way too short. I have a word goal of at least 70000 words and I'd like to get several thousand into a chapter and that'll take me a few days to write and try to edit.
4. Please support me during this guys. I'm working two jobs and trying to make ends meet. I have a great job opportunity waiting for me the first chance I can get everything I need to apply for it and guys it's such a good opportunity and one that I can do a job I really enjoy and still write for y'all.
5. And hopefully final. I used to go into Books a million a lot and they basically had a whole section dedicated to a series of books I think called the warrior series or something like that. That's what I want this story to turn into. I want prequels and sequels and books and spin offs and your guys' incredible support can make that happen and as long as you and Mary Ann (and other characters who I won't name for the sake of someone possibly reading this for the first time) have my back we can turn this into that together.THANKS
XO
Oh and one final thing please for the love of god vote comment and share if you like it if you genuinely like this story or even if you don't please just one vote
