Introduction

The world has many secrets. Billions of years, human-kind has been calling it home. But they still fail to know all the creatures that exist and share their home. Witches and wizards are no exception. Although they share the same planet as humans or mortals (whichever you want to call them), their existence remain a secret like a wall that has been repainted with lies and excuses so that man-kind could believe the simple version of things.

Living in the world among the non-magical, the magical beings have rules to follow:
1). Never, ever reveal what you really are.
2). Children below the age of eighteen are not allow to own a wand, the source of magic.
3). Witches and wizards can have relationships with mortals, they can reveal what they are to their significant other but as soon as they revealed it, a spell is casted. The mortal could not say anything about the magical people to other mortals. Their voice simply disappears for the time being.
4). Witches and wizards will not harm mortals or their own kind for they would be punished by the Guardian, who are the ones who enforce the laws.

With that being said, let me tell you what this story is about....

Hawkburg is a peaceful town. Everything is as normal as it can be, but within, witches and wizards roam free, blending with the non-magical crowd just like the rest of the world. Witches and wizards live in the decent-sized town, hidden. The mortals are shielded from the knowledge that witches and wizards actually exist and believe that they are just tales and myths, which is typical for the non-magical....

What made this peaceful and simple town special? Well, that's why we're here....

In Hawkburg high, it was the first day of school. Teenagers, magical-beings and mortals alike, rushed to their first class of the day. In the chaos of the school small hallway, three witches walked side by side as the others pushed and rushed to get to class.

"I don't understand why everyone is in such a hurry to get to class... personally, being late means less time in class...." The chocolate-dusty-red haired girl grumbled.

"It's the first day of school, first class of the year, it's obvious why they're making an effort to be at class on time or earlier. We should too, you know?" The tall Asian girl reminded her friend.

"Hey guys! I have an idea! A great one!" The brunette said. "Let's skip class!"

The tall Asian girl stared at her friend like what she is saying is unbelievable. The blonde girl next to the two, hit the brunette arm playfully. "God, no, Eva. You can skip class next week or something, I don't care but this is the first day of school!"

"How about we just skip the first class, it's full of introductions anyways, we won't miss anything!" Eva wiggled her eyebrows suggestively.

"No. For the sake of your education and ours, we won't allow that." The Asian girl said to Eva.

"Mommy Ting Ting strikes again!" Eva said jokingly.

"Dude, seriously. We can't skip class today. I, Lelia Bonnet will not allow you, Eva Brooks to do that!" The blonde girl said with a very serious tone that mean business.

"Ugh, you guys are no fun... but fine, I won't skip today..." Eva said, defeated with a sigh.

Although, the girls were one of the last people who got to class, they were not late. Their teacher, Mr. Kellington, has always been a teacher known for his tardiness. The first day of school is no exception for him, apparently.

"Sorry class, I'm late! Now, let's introduce ourselves shall we? My name is Kederick Kellington, but please don't call me that for I will punish you, call me Mr. Kellington please and you'll do fine. For those of you who haven't look at your schedule, this is an English class, therefore I am your English teacher." Now, you would expect the student to laugh or at least crack a smile but Mr. Kellington is an imitating and tall middle-aged man with scrubs of dark hair on his almost bald head. Adding a sarcastic personality, the students were not tempt to say anything for they were afraid that if they do and said something wrong, he would snap. And when he does, it isn't pretty....

Mr. Kellington looked around the room at the twenty-one expression-less faces of his students, one by one. Then, he suddenly pointed at one of the girls in the third row. "You. Introduce yourself."

The raven haired girl stood up and look at the teacher with a panic expression.

"Well? You could speak, could you not?" Kellington gave the new girl a bored look.

"I-I could speak, sir." She sputtered.

"Then, introduce yourself, it's not hard really, even a kindergartener could do it in their sleep." At this the girl legs trembled.

"It's fine, you can do this!" Eva whispered encouragingly to her new classmate from behind.

The raven haired girl gulped visibly and talked with a trembling voice. "H-hi, m-m-my na-mme i-is Ka-arina Katriana. I-I'm a new student h-here, my f-family and I, we moved from the city last w-week."

"That wasn't so hard, was it? Sit. Now, you. Introduce yourself." Mr. Kellington pointed to a guy.

"Thank you so so much." Karina thanked her new acquaintance.

"Don't sweat it! I'm glad I could help." Eva gave Karina a big grin.
