Fred weakly smiled at his twin brother. Today was the day he was starting third year but still he couldn't shake the feeling that something or someone was missing. He knew he needed to act happy and like his usual goofy self to keep up with his reputation of a carefree, funny prankster. He felt that no one understood him. Not even his twin brother George.

He was waiting for the day when someone saw what was underneath his carefree attitude to see that he truly did care. He just couldn't show anyone yet.

Although he felt lonely he was still exited to go back to hogwarts. Hopefully this year he could finally find what he was missing. He quickly mustered up a goofy smile and set back to packing his trunk. His mother would have his head if he took any longer.

With a signature weasley sweater over his head he jogged out of his and George's room into the kitchen where his family was waiting impatiently for him. It was his little brother Ron's first year so they wanted to get to the train station earlier.

Once they were all ready they took the floo to kings cross station and while they were getting ready to enter platform 9 3/4 a small lanky kid about Ron's age walked up and asked how to get onto the station. Fred ran through to show him how and soon him and George were on the train in a compartment by themselves.

About 5 minutes into the journey a girl with wild brown hair came into the compartment and asked if she could sit in the corner.
