Juilia's POV
29th July,
New York,
07:55 hours.
They say you get a bad vibes or a bad omen about some disaster waiting to happen, I wasn't supposed to think how my day would be going exactly when I open my eyes and stare the white ceiling of the motel I'm staying at. But the only picture getting inside my head is of my baby brother. Whom I just apologized thousand times inwardly before unfortunately running away from him. And remembering that tomorrow is his 10th birthday. And like every year I couldn't be to hug and throw kisses over his chubby cheeks and wish him. And we won't able to visit that small bakery to eat his Captain America themed cupcakes made by Aunt Harley, who knows James since his birth. I miss her red velvet cake though.
Groaning I check my hidden weapons beside me, my handy qwerty phone which is tucked under my two layered mattress, a pistol under my pillow and lastly a taser hidden in my jacket which is hanging by my bed post.I am interrupted before I reach my jacket by a visitor in my room, Nathan that bitch.
"Geez knock the door, I am in my sleepwear." I lashed wearing my jacket over my loose tanktop followed by a pyjama shorts.
"I don't care about that, you know clearly who I swing by." He said shrugging and walked towards my bed and threw a parcel on it, while making himself comfortable on a recliner.
"I know which party you swing by, discovered almost a decade ago." I said tying my bun and narrowing my eyes over the parcel and looked at him again.
He rolled his eyes and sighed.
"Open it." He ordered.
"What's it?" I asked. He didn't reply but checked the view outside the window and looked at the New York morning.I opened the box and was shocked to see the pictures of the first parcel I received and a fake sample 'X' card. My fingers delicately picked the picture of my dad, last picture of him taken.
"How did you break the security of my house?" was the first question I asked after 20 minutes when few tears rolled down my cheeks after looking my dad.
Nathan looked at me, smirking he got up from his seat and walked to me. Wiping my tears he bent on his knees to be face to face to him.
My green eyes bore to his brown-golden one.
"Your house security was already broken, and cameras over front door and back doors were tapped out." He said looking at the fake card I was holding on my lap.
"What?" I shouted. "Where's mom and James? I mean the security level can't be broken by any thief or any intruder. And I can think you as a though level hacker could do this – " I was interrupted.
"I guess John has aunt Amelia and Jamey with him as the last voicemail received on your home telephone was by him, asking to pack luggage ASAP. So they are safe with him." He assured by blinking twice, which I responded quick by same.
"Can I talk with them please?"
"No." He said patting my knee and stood up.
"Get ready now. In 10." He said walking to door.
"Is it necessary?" I said keeping the items back in parcel.
"Yeah, Colombia your home is waiting to welcome you." he said winking and walked out of the room.We had our quick brunch and left the motel quickly because Nathan was in doubt of Aiden following us. All from Chicago, damn that Italian ass. I had my attire changed and had donned the name of Alexa White sister of Mike White who is seated beside me inside the taxi which is slow as retro song. I had a hatred towards blonde always as I felt itchy looking at their hairs even if my mom was one of them. I was constantly running my hands to fix the strands irritating the life out of me. Nathan tsked looking at me.
08:31 hours
We arrived at the JFK airport at time. Checking and scanning our surrounding and bickering like real brother and sister we made it to our waiting seats. I was checking the Cosmopolitan magazine when a voice pierced my ears.
