Everything around me is happening so fast. As soon as the blinding light flashed, the voice began to scream in pain. Whatever was bounding both of my wrists were cut, and as I fell, I felt somebody catch me.

"Hold on tightly." I heard a familiar voice holding me.

"Alex?" I say softly, but my eyes were still closed as it was still too bright. I wrapped my arms around her neck as I press my face against her.

"Give her back!" The icy voice shouted in anger, and Alex began to run. I could hear Alex's footsteps hitting the ground, while being followed by loud and heavier footsteps. Moments after, the blinding light was gone and I can feel the wind as my lungs are filled with fresh air.

Along with the wind, I was could hear loud clashing of steel against steel, shouting, and unearthly growling. I finally try to open my eyes, but I could still barely see clearly due to the light earlier. But I can make out that the huntresses are fighting against the shades.

"Alex, over here!" I heard Elizabeth's voice, and seconds later, I was being set down on the grass.

"Elizabeth, take care of Nicole, I need to help the huntresses and Lady Artemis."

"Go!" Elizabeth says and I felt Alex leaving.

"Oh no. You're hurt everywhere!" Elizabeth spoke again as I feel her hands on my skin, and as I look at her, she has a worried expression on her face as she examined me. As she checks me, that was when I finally felt how much pain I'm in.

"It hurts." I managed to say weakly and Elizabeth hurriedly took a small glass bottle with red liquid from the bag beside her. She quickly pulls the cork from the top of it and she held it near my lips.

"Open your mouth, you need to drink this." Slowly I opened my mouth and Elizabeth tips the bottle so that the liquid will pour into my mouth. It didn't have any taste but I instantly felt my body burning up. I thought I would be in a lot of pain again, but slowly my body felt light and the pain disappeared.

As soon as I felt myself feeling better, I slowly sat up and that was when I saw how chaotic it was. By the looks of it, the huntresses are outnumbered by the shades that they are fighting against, and whenever they strike one down, another one appears. The huntresses were bruised and worried, and they were clearly trying to also fight the exhaustion that they are feeling.

"Feeling better?" Elizabeth says as she places a hand on my back.

"Yes I am. Where are we?" I say as I continue to watch the huntresses fight.

"We're near the cave. As soon as you disappeared, Artemis ordered the huntresses to move."

As Elizabeth was talking, someone shouted at us and as I turn to where it was coming from, a boulder is headed to where we are. Elizabeth took the staff beside her and walked in front of me. As she raised her staff above her, the boulder shattered and I covered my face with my arm.

I was waiting for the pieces of the boulder to hit me, but I didn't feel anything. I lower my arm and saw a dim light surrounding me and Elizabeth in a protective barrier, and the pieces of the rock slides down.

"Are you two alright?" Thalia shouted as she approaches us, her hand holding her bow tightly.

"Elizabeth, you and Nicole need to move somewhere safer, more and more shades are starting to slip between the huntresses. Hurry, I'll provide cover." Thalia said in a serious tone of voice. Now that she is closer, I noticed that her face and her arms are bruised.

Before I could even react, Elizabeth grabbed my arm and we started running. Despite my body no longer feeling any weight or pain from what happened when I was trapped in the dark, I still feel that I am in a daze.
