A christmas story

Christmas.It wasn't the most memorable for Chrono since he didn't have anyone to celebrate with.Even his aunt couldn't make it back home to celebrate Christmas with him.But today was a day that would change how he sees Christmas.

"Chrono,wake up!Your friends are here to see you."His guardian Mikuru shaking him to get him off bed.

"Tell them to come back later.I haven't got any sleep yesterday."Chrono in a half-asleep state told her.

"Guess I have no choice then."Mikuru grabbed a pail of ice and poured it onto Chrono,forcing him to wake up feeling extremely cold as soon as he gets out from bed.

"What did you do that for Mikuru?!"Chrono exclaimed as he went to shove all the ice to the floor.

"It's no good keeping your friends waiting outside.Hurry up and get changed all right?Besides,I'm not going to be home tonight so you don't have to bother cooking for me."Mikuru said with a smile on her face.Chrono sighed as he uttered "fine..."before getting changed and meeting Shion and Tokoha downstairs for him.

"What took you so long Chrono?We promised that we would go to Card Capital 2 today to celebrate Christmas."Tokoha said with a tint of annoyance.

"Sorry,just woke up late today.I didn't have much sleep yesterday."Chrono apologised.

"Anyways since you are here,we should go to the Capital now.The others are waiting for us."Shion suggested and the trio walked towards their destination.
Chrono wasn't sure what he was expecting but he still followed just to accompany his friends.

As they reached the Capital,Kazuma was the first to turn towards them.

"What took you guys?The party's about to start."He questioned the trio.

"Sorry but we had to wait for Chrono to come out of his apartment to come here together."Shion spoke up first and apologized.

Chrono looked around and saw the many decorations that were around the Capital.He wasn't gonna lie,it actually looks pretty good with the decorations on.With the Christmas tree being the main attraction.Chrono walked up to it and saw the Christmas tree filled with ormaments and lights.He thought to himself,

"Was it always this beautiful?"

"Hey Chrono what are you doing?We are about to start."Tokoha called out to Chrono.

"Oh sorry,I was just thinking of something,that's all."Chrono said with a smile on his face.Returning to where his friends are,he sat there and celebrated Christmas with them.

The party was pretty great.They had a ton of fun playing games like truth or dare.It was embarassing for some people but all in all,they had fun.Afterwards,they started to play vanguard and decided to play all day long.They were having the night out after all.After a while,many of the people were already asleep,tired from all the fun they had during the party while Chrono was still awake,sitting on the bench looking towards the people who were sleeping.Thinking to himself,how long will this really last.

Good times never lasts long and Chrono knows all too well of it.He got up from the seat and decided to walk out from the Capital for a while.Looking towards the sky,staring at how beautiful the night was while he was just thinking to himself,

"How long can I truly keep this up?"

When Tokoha woke up,she looked around for Chrono in the Capital but she couldn't find him.Getting out from the Capital to search for him,she found him at a park sitting on a bench.She called out his name and Chrono turns to see Tokoha.She then walks up to him and sat beside him.

"Why are you awake?Shouldn't you be sleeping?"Chrono asked.

"I couldn't fall asleep and you weren't in the Capital so I came to find you."Tokoha responded.It was an akward silence before either of them decided to speak up.
