During that time I was 5 years old, and I didn't know that that night was going to be my mother's last night. It was dark and quiet just like the regular nights, but then helicopters swarmed the dark sky. Curious about what is happening outside I rushed to the window to take a look. As soon as I was about to peek I heard gunshots and it's coming from everywhere from the ground and sky. I was terrified as the lights turned off and muzzle flashes begin to give off streaks of yellow light. I looked for my mother and repeatedly cried out for her, but no one came. As gunshots roar outside the house, I tried to take a look at what was happening outside. As I peeked my head through the window I saw something that until now I can never forget, a Leviathan devouring a helpless person. I looked in fear as the person is screaming for help while being eaten alive. As a child, I can't do anything but hiding. After hours, of hiding in the rubble I heard a familiar voice shout my name.
"Deo"
"Mom!"
"Deo"
"Deo"
"Deo wake up"
"Huh?" I woke up "Thinking about what happened again 14 years ago?" Thea asked "Yeah, it's just I can't get over it" I answered
"Come on the past is in the past, get over it" Jacob answered, "Besides we just graduated from the Academy and were now junior APLC field officers" I smiled back at Jacob."Well, I think we all gotta go" Jacob said as he leaves the table "Oh yeah, we'll be meeting our senior partners" Thea excitedly proclaimed "Mentors actually" I corrected her "Well see you guys around" I said while I waved good-bye to those two. As I exited the cafeteria down the hallway I saw a big square like figure that's rushing to me at a fast pace and "Hahaha! I can't believe my son is finally a junior officer, I'm proud of you" my dad said as he squeezed me tight. "What a proud and lucky father you are Sir. Willias" his colleague Mr. Kevin Jameston cheerfully said "Hehe dad would you please stop your making a scene here," I said awkwardly while some passersby are looking at us "Oh yeah I forgot you will meet your mentor today," my dad said as he finally frees me from his crushing hug "I hope your mother was here to see this" my dad placed his hand on my shoulder "Well be good som on your first day" he said while he finally walked away, as I rush to the office that is assigned to me.
