"From district 1, Reyna and Octavian!" Chiron paused the screen. "Reyna is dangerous," he said, "trained from birth for exactly this. Watch out for her."

Annabeth stared at the screen. Tall, slender but muscular, Reyna looked regal and cold. Her dark eyes seemed to cut through the camera. If Annabeth could bet on a winner, she would bet on Reyna. She made a mental note to avoid her.

"Octavian is also dangerous, but in a different way. He's smart and manipulative, so definitely watch your back." Octavian looked like a pale-haired weasel.

Chiron fast forwarded the tape to district two. A boy's name was called, Jason Grace. Tall, blond, handsome, he looked like a tribute who would get lots of sponsors. A girls name was called, but someone from the back of the crowd shouted "I volunteer!" It was hard to miss the desperation in her voice. Short dark hair, but the same blue eyes. Thalia Grace, his sister.

"She must have volunteered to protect him," Annabeth said as she looked down. She wondered if anyone would ever care about her that much.

"Their poor parents," Percy muttered.

"These two are also dangerous," Chiron continued, "they've grown up training. Try to avoid any combat with them."

District three was next. "Will Solace and Kayla, neither are real fighters, but great healers. If you are looking for allies, these two have good skills." Will had soft blond hair and blue eyes, a non-threatening face. Annabeth made note of him.

"The last third of the career pack, district four: Frank and Clarisse. Again, don't engage in a fight with either. They're particularly good at hand-to-hand combat." Frank was well over six feet, but had a kind face. Clarisse sneered at the camera.

Chiron skipped to district five. "Leo Valdez and Rachel Dare. Not fighters, but very smart. Don't underestimate them." Leo's fingers tapped at his legs. Rachel stared off into space.

"From district six we have another set of siblings, Nico and Bianca di Angelo. Although they might not look it, they are dangerous. But it seems they have terrible luck; neither volunteered for this." Nico had to be one of the youngest tributes Annabeth noted as she watched him grab his sister's hand.

The tributes from district seven were Zoë Nightshade and Michael Kahale. "We don't know much about these two, but I have to assume they're fighters. They certainly look like it." Annabeth nodded. Kahale was huge and Zoë was athletically built.

"From district eight are Piper McLean and Mitchell. Not super strong fighters but they have other talents. I'm told they can talk their way out of anything." Mitchell actually smiled at the camera. Piper winked.

"District nine are Dakota and Gwen; decent fighters but not huge threats. From District ten we have Charles Bekendorf and Silena. Watch out for Bekendorf, he's very resourceful. They say he can make a weapon out of anything. And don't underestimate Silena either."

Annabeth rolled her eyes. "No offense, but all these people are blurring together. How are we supposed to remember everyone's weaknesses?"

"When you start training you'll see them more often. Be sure to watch them." Chiron tapped the screen. "We only have one district left: eleven. Hazel Levesque and Grover Underwood. Hazel's a great fighter, don't let her size fool you. And if fighting weren't part of the games, I'd bet on Grover. He has legendary wilderness survival skills."

Hazel and Grover. Information was swimming around Annabeth's head. "Well that's that. I'm going to bed."

"Good idea," nodded Chiron, "because tomorrow morning you start training.
