part 1

"Attention passengers, please fasten your seat belts, the plane will be landing soon."

The flight attendant's voice snapped me out of my daydreams, and I shot up in my seat, my earbuds flying out of my ears and bonking on my thighs.

I smiled apologetically at the man next to me, while he just looked at me in disgust, before I promptly tucked my earbuds back in my ears.

I sighed, trying to remember the dream I had been having before I woke up. It had been a good dream about my home in America, but unfortunately, I was not going to be getting back to the dream any time soon.

I grabbed my backpack, and stuffed some of my various random possessions in it that had spilled out around my feet.

How on earth am I this messy, even when I'm asleep?

I groaned as I was pushed back in my seat while the plane began its descent. I then hastily buckled up my seatbelt, so I wouldn't die.

I was going to South Korea to work at the company JYP, as a photographer for them and their idols.

I wished I was able to work in America, but I hadn't been able to find any job that would hire me soon enough, as ridiculous as that sounded. Now I was on my way to work literally across the world from everyone I knew and loved. I guess it was time to welcome the lonely life.

The good thing was, I only had to be here for the summer. By the time it was over, a good job would be open and ready for me back home, and I was planning to hightail there before they opened the opportunity up to other hopeful and broke college graduates.

A couple minutes later, I felt the wheels of the plane scrape against the ground and bumped up and down in my seat, until it finally came to a complete stop.

I stood up and grabbed my backpack, forgetting that it wasn't zipped, and spilled more of my stuff all over the ground again.

Oops.

I bent down and picked everything up again, quickly putting it back in my bag. I once again smiled apologetically at the man next to me, while he just frowned, no doubt excited to get out of the stuffy plane, as well.

With that, I grabbed my small suitcase from the overhead and got off the plane. I lowkey jogged because the man behind me looked strong and annoyed, and I didn't want to die from spilling my stuff on some angry dude.

I sighed as soon as I stepped into the airport and then took a moment to stretch myself out. Then, I looked around.

So this is South Korea.

The airport was pretty much like your average American one, expect everything looked more futuristic and surprisingly aesthetic.

The signs were all wrote in Korean, of course, which I still couldn't read very well, so I pretty much had no clue where I was going as I tried heading out of the airport.

"Let's just go this way," I said to myself, following a large group of girls carrying signs.

"Oh wait," I said, to myself again, "baggage claim."
