The bus slowed to a halt in a semi-clear stretch of road. Bill looked back to the others and announced that it's lights out. Some of the survivors went outside to light a fire, while others stayed inside and slept. Sam and Markus decided to join the survivors outside. It was a warm night, with survivors telling stories around the fire. Sam and Markus sat on top of the bus, careful not to make too much noise as to not wake the sleeping survivors inside. Markus put his arm around Sam and looked down at the survivors. A young Texan girl, judging by her white cowgirl hat and six-shooter revolver, a cop, a guy in a welder's outfit, and a guy wearing a cap, holding a knife. Markus listened to their stories while Sam fell asleep on his shoulder.

"So anyways, back in my neighborhood, I was fixing up my buddy's car, when I heard tons of screamin' and shoutin' coming from the distance. I turned around to see people getting eaten alive! I ran to my garage and grabbed the first thing that looked useful, and bolted out of there!" The guy in the cap looked to him. "So that explains the welding gear." "Hell yeah it does! A garage welding kit can still come in handy during the apocalypse!" The two laughed as did the Texan girl, but the cop stayed silent, nodding at the stories.

Markus yawned as he looked over to find Sam asleep on his shoulder. He chuckled and ran his hand through her yellow hair. Markus carefully carried Sam down the ladder on the back of the bus, which was incredibly hard by the way. He carried her into the bus and placed her down on an empty seat. She continued to sleep soundly. Markus walked over to Bill, who was leaning in his modified bus chair, with his feet up on the dashboard.

"Hey, Bill?" Bill looked over at Markus. "Hm? Yeah? What's up, kid?" "I was wondering, do you guys need any supplies?" Bill looked curiously at Markus. "Why do you ask?" He said, with a confused tone in his voice. "I'm just asking, because I wouldn't mind going out for a supply run." Bill looked around for a minute, then turned back to Markus. "Well, we could use some drinks. Water, whiskey, energy drinks, whatever you can find." Markus smiled. "Thanks, I'll be back soon." Bill grabbed his shoulder before Markus could leave. "Hey, how about you take someone with you, like Jeremiah? He's out by the fire, the one with the knife." Markus nodded and thanked Bill before walking out to talk with Jeremiah. He tapped Jeremiah on the shoulder, and he turned around. "Oh, hey. You must be the new guy, right?" Markus nodded. "Ah, cool. So what brings you here? To me, I mean." Markus responded: "I'm going on a supply run, and Bill suggested I took you with me." Jeremiah tilted his head, slightly confused, but shrugged and said: "Sure, I'll come." Jeremiah got up and looked to his friends. "I'll be back in a while, guys!" The three looked up at him. "See ya!" Said the welder. "Stay safe." The cop muttered. "See you later, Jeremy." The Texan girl said with a wink. Markus looked over to see Jeremiah blushing slightly. "Well, lets get going." Markus said, snapping Jeremiah out of his distraction. "Right! Right." Jeremiah mustered as they began walking forward towards a small town.
