"Why did the wedding have to be today?" I thought. It was the wedding of my two dads. Roman and Patton we're they're names. They met a few years ago, and Roman helped Patton raise me. Roman helped pay for my medical bills and helped me get a college scholarship, which was hard because I'm a freshman in highschool. Roman had a friend, who stayed with us some times. He had a son named Declan, and he came to the wedding with him as well. He was openly gay, which I was jealous of. I could never be so open about it. I'm gay, if you didn't know, and my dad's knew, and they were accepting of it. I mean, it would be weird if they were gay but weren't accepting of it. Me and Declan have been friends since sixth grade and he is an awesome friend. Declan had small burns all over his left arm, but had a large burn that covered the left side of his face. It had healed but the scar was still visible. It was from when he was around the age of eight, he and his dad were sitting in the basement, waiting out a storm with possible tornado warnings, then they smelt smoke. It was harder to see and as they tried to make they're escape, a piece of burning wood fell from the ceiling and dropped on Declan. His dad carried him outside, still burning and let the rain drench the flames that covered the small boy. He had to stay in a hospital for months. But now here he was sitting next to me and squeezing my hand reassuringly. We were just friends, but I had a big crush on him. He was always so brave and always protected me. I had missed what had been said, and I missed they're vows, but I didn't miss the kiss. Me and Declan both made fake gagging sounds quietly and giggled. Of course, we were like young children. We pretended we hated it when people kissed but actually loved it because you knew it was better then fighting. Virgil and him got up and walked away from the crowd as they all crowded the two newly wedded men. They walked together for a while, then decided to sit down for a moment. Virgil spread his jacket over the wet grass and the two sat down. It began to rain, first small drops, the it felt like rocks cascading from the sky. They heard music, and they turned 5o each other and smiled "So...uhm...i know you don't dance but, can I have  this dance?" He held out his hand for the emo to take. He took it with a soft smile. They got up and began to dance. Virgil knew how to dance, but he hated to dance. But with Declan, he loved it. Declan could dance as well, and he was very good at it too. He moved smoothly and swiftly. He twirled Virgil around then smirked as he dipped him. He looked down to Virgil lips, then back into his eyes. Virgil nodded and Declan closed the gap between them with a soft kiss. He pulled away after a minute, and from that moment on they were always together.
