hi! this isn't perfect but i'm tired, so i'll fix it tmrw
hope you guys enjoy <3hwang hyunjin, freshly seventeen years old, was now quite bored of his whole being. he wanted to go see the world starting at the age of ten. but it really hit him just a couple months ago, a heavy feeling in his stomach from how his life was suddenly getting more and more boring everyday. it was bound to happen, with him doing the same thing everyday and having his life planned out for him from before he was even able to breathe that first breath of life.
he wanted to see anything else but his way too big house, and little town. hyunjin was trapped, suffocated; and it hit him all too hard. without his mansion of a house, he would've realized it much longer though. hyunjins very own home let him explore, hyunjin found new things about himself by going through all the rooms. he knows every crack and creak, where everything was, the wallpaper colors and design in all 50 of the rooms. hyunjin discovered the city, the museum, the airport, the volcanoes, mountains, buildings, towers, oceans- and just about anything too big for what hyunjin liked to call his "tiny world" by reading books or magazines and even articles at times.
at first, finding all of these things in the hundreds of books scattered, stacked and pushed onto the tall bookcases that were pressed tightly against the wall of his fathers (many) study rooms,, well it overwhelmed and confused the living hell out of the five year old boy. hyunjin was always smart for his age- yes, he just an ordinary toddler with chubby cheeks and bright curious eyes, but his stubby little fingers were always touching; and oh was he always asking questions. hyunjin's parents thought it was normal at first, because all toddlers push and bug you for the littlest of things.
they thought the phase would pass after he asked simple toddler questions like why is the sky blue, or where does the sun go when it becomes "night-night" time. but no, he wanted to learn about all the constellations, how each animal is different and how to treat for different breeds. hyunjin was already talking about how we need trees to survive, and that humans are killing the earth at the ripe age of seven. his parents were nothing short of astounded at their youngest son, especially when he would rant about how if humans just recycled- it would help our planet so much.
but now, hearing him was almost dreadful. "hyunjin, my sweet jinnie, we've talked about this almost everyday since you were thirteen" his mother sighed, and you can hear how tired she was of his complaining. "but mom, you guys go to the city all the time and come back just fine! this isn't fair!" hyunjin whined, resisting the urge to stomp and shake around like the whiny toddler he once was (and will always be).
"hyunjin it isn't just about that, you think the world out there is as perfect as it is here but it isn't. don't make me have to say no to you every single day, it makes me feel bad." the teenager pouted, his older sister snickering into her spoonful of cereal. "then just say yes" hyunjin said with a stretched out smile on his face and who was she to say no to that? the mother sighed, a small smile finding it's way across her lips.
