Drowned

chapter one

   It was black and cold. I was drowning. My lungs hurt. I could get to the surface but my body’s too numb. I look at my hand. A pale white hand surrounded by black cold water. Something grabs my waist. I realize it's more of a touch. A gentle one. Then I feel a warm hand on my cheek. I let out what little air I have left and my surroundings fade into darkness.

LUKA P.O.V

    I pull her body close. She’s dead. She could’ve swam...she could’ve made it. I’ll take her with me see if the council can do anything… I could turn her into one of us but I won't. It would hurt to know that I did this to someone who has a family and a home and knows their place in the world. I’m a freak. She’s so cold. She was my girlfriend I would meet her every night. I just found her. I didn't know she was drowning. I….I could have saved her.

    I get to the council. They tell me what I don't wanna hear. They tell me to change her if I want her and if I don’t get rid of her. I have a life up there but I ran away because humans don't like us. Yeah we look the same but our blood is water and blood and our skin is white our hair is black. She already looks this way though. The black hair which she dyes and the snow white skin. She has lip piercings and ear piercings and her nose is pierced her eyebrow has two piercings. 

      Were like vampires in a way but we don’t drink blood but we can bite people and turn them into us. We eat normal food. Our hearts beat our skin feal’s our lungs breathe...water and air...and our minds still fear and were not that different from humans. When we bite people that are dead we can bring them back. I end up biting her then I fall asleep.
