"Tell me again why we had to go to Grootslang's library to get to Paradisum?" Beastboy asked Arella.
"Because Azarath has a strict defense against ANY kind of demons," Arella replied. "Plus, Grootslang is the few of us that actually accepts Fallitur."
"More or less," She grumbled, crossing her arms and waiting for the vortex they were traveling through to drop them off at Paradisum.
"What is Paradisum like?" Beastboy asked. They suddenly made their stop and the place was revealed to them.
"See for yourself," Arella smiled.
"Whoa," Fallitur said amazed.
"This... is... AWESOME!" There they stood on a hill overlooking the entire place. Flowers that burn bright and vivid colors grew along with trees that offered shade from the brightness of the light. The temperature was perfect and the breeze relaxing. They saw animals great and small, prey and predator eating grass alongside each other. Small children with bright shining robes danced around in circles. They looked on to a massive city in a square formation. Its gates were made out of precious emeralds and pearls and jewels, sparkling in the light. It was a wonder that Beastboy and Fallitur weren't blinded by the light. They walked towards the city. The children who were dancing in the field came around Fallitur and Beastboy and danced around them, laughing and giggling as they finally flew away. Beastboy noticed the queen demon's surprised mood.
"I... I never thought that angels would find me other than repealing," Fallitur replied.
"Hey look!" Beastboy pointed out. There coming towards them was an angel with a red sash around his robe.
"Ah, visitors!" The angels said happily. He didn't seem bothered by the fact that Fallitur was with them. "I am Freund. What brings you here?"
"We're here to learn some information to perform a certain spell," Arella replied.
"Ah yes! Right this way," Freund said enthusiastically. Beastboy and Arella looked at Fallitur. "What's the matter?"
"Is... she allowed to come?" Beastboy asked defensively.
"Of course, all who want to come can come," Freund smiled. With that, they followed the friendly angel into the sparkling city of Paradisum. "Welcome to Paradisum! While most would brag about its wealth and glory, we're just happy that it exists." The city had large buildings made out of bright reflective silver. Angels flew around in the air as well walked barefoot on the ground. There were no machines, but certain sections were made for other things. For example, a large grand building where all of the music was held could be heard all over the place, and it changed every time to another grand music.
"It really is incredible," Fallitur said in quiet awe.
"AWESOME! The streets are made of diamonds! Hey, what happens when it rains here?" Beastboy asked.
"It becomes a water slide," Freund casually said as some angel slid past them in a makeshift raft. Beastboy's eyes shifted into stars.
"This is paradise," He sighed, almost faint. Fallitur looked at the other angels around. They acted as if she was just another friend or neighbor.
"You seem uneasy, ma'am. Is something wrong?" Freund asked.
"Nothing," Fallitur replied hastily. "Where is the information that Beastboy needs?"
"Right in here," Freund explained. They walked into a round domed library/records place. Beastboy could see books of different people. Certain angels opened the books and holographic scenes played before them. "This is the records of every human in history. There are even some books from other dimensions."
"COOL!" Beastboy exclaimed quickly picking up one book and looking at it. "'The location of Peter Parker's Parents' Hmm, interesting."
"Beastboy, focus," Fallitur urged. Beastboy placed the book back and followed the three. Suddenly, Beastboy noticed that a certain angel was following them. He was trying to be stealthy, but he wasn't really hard to miss. His eyes seemed to be focused on Fallitur.
"Hey, Fallitur. I think there's someone following us. He seems to be interested in you," Beastboy smirked. "You may have a secret admirer." Fallitur gave a short chuckle.
"An angel that likes a demon? That's impossible."
"You like me," Beastboy pointed out plainly.
"I do NOT like you in the manner you think," Fallitur quickly snapped. Beastboy gave a small smug smile, knowing that she was lying. They finally entered a large room, specially dedicated to spells and incantations.
"This stuff looks old. Really old," Beastboy coughed because the place was dusty.
"We don't have any use for spells or charms in Paradisum, but beings of good intent are allowed to see them. Because we're beings of light, this is the complete collection of light magic. You'll find something in here to counteract the effects of the dark magic here." Freund explained. Meanwhile, the angel that had been following them peered around a bookshelf corner. He looked and saw that Fallitur wasn't with them anymore. Where was she?
"Boo."
"AHHH!" The angel screamed and fell to the ground. Fallitur stood over him with an unamused glare.
"Is there a reason why you're spying on us?" Fallitur asked.
"I... I... I wasn't trying to be rude. I... I was just...um..." The angel stuttered. Fallitur had to admit he was mildly adorable. Nervous grin, shortly cut jet black hair, black eyes tan skin, roughly about a foot taller than her. "I was just... um... you seemed... familiar."
"I thought angels never lied," Fallitur replied, "I've never seen you in my life."
"Yes, but I've seen you," the angel stood up, "I'm Dilectus. It's nice to meet you again."
"What do you mean again?" Fallitur asked as the others started coming over due to the commotion. "I've never seen you and I've lived a long life."
"Dilectus, what is the matter here?" Freund asked. The black-haired angel sighed.
"She's the queen of the Goth Afa Monsters," Dilectus explained.
"Demons," Fallitur corrected, "We're demons, thank you very much." Both Freund and Dilectus looked confused. She was expecting them to treat her differently now. Suddenly, Freund had an epiphany.
"That's right. Her mother did wipe their memories clean," He said.
"Memories? What are you talking about?" Garfield asked. Dilectus grabbed Fallitur's hand and simply smiled.
"It's a long story, Kamila."
"My name is Fallitur. Who is Kamila?" Fallitur asked really confused.
"You," Dilectus explained. Arella glanced over and saw Beastboy on the ground with a bowl of popcorn in his hand as he munched away and stared.
"Where did you get the popcorn?" she asked.
"Don't know, don't care. Now shush, the drama's about to start," Beastboy said excitedly.
