A Beginning ((NaLu))

Lucy hummed a tune as she made her way to her guild, Fairy Tail. With a happy mood she rocked her hands back and forth. She entered the doors of the large building, immediately making her way to the bar where her good friend was washing a cup.

"Oh, good morning Lucy!" The white-haired Mage said with a grand smile that lit up the room. She halted her washing and looked to Lucy, throwing the rag over her shoulder.

"Hello, Mirajane!" Lucy returned the smile and sat down on the stool in front of her. The blonde girl rested her chin on her hands and a sigh escaped her lips. She loosened her posture and closed her eyes.

"Is everything alright?" Asked Mirajane with concern in her eyes. She gave Lucy a drink and spoke to her with a worried tone. "It's about the Fairy Tail Annual Dance, huh?" She questioned. Lucy replied in a nod and took a massive sigh.

"I can't find a guy to go with and no one has asked me.... Not even Loke, and if that's not surprising I don't know what is." Lucy looked down when the door blasted open and HE walked in. Lucy turned towards the door, only to look back to Mirajane.

Natsu walked in with a march and was laughing along with his sidekick Happy. Mirajane giggled and once again threw the wrag over her shoulder.

"I think you've found the guy." Mirajane exited the inside of the bar and went to sit next to Lucy. "You and Natse are great friends, why not make it more than that?" Said Mirajane, giving Lucy a look of disgust. Mirajane giggled and got back to work, leaving Lucy to the thought.

'I mean... I guess I have always thought Natsu as attractive.... GAH! What on earth am I saying?!' Lucy thought to herself with a humongous scarlet blush.

"Lucy! Lucy! Wanna go on a job?" Natsu snapped her out of her trance when asking her, as if appearing from no where behind her. She gave out a little scream and moved away from in a slow motion. Her eyes were opened wide and her blush only got darker.

"Hey, Lucy? Everything alright?" His once happy face turned into a concerned one, looking straight into her brown ones. "Lucy?" He said again, after not hearing a response. She kept still and silent, just staring at him.

"Aw, whatever. Happy and I will go on a job." He said in a some-what sassy tune, but inside, he was upset she couldn't, wouldn't, come.

Lucy snapped back to reality and looked at Natsu, whose sadness was now showing. She took a deep sign and got up from the chair, running over to the boy, waving her hand in the air. "Hey, hey Natsu! I'll come on the job with you!" And that once sentence lit up his face.

"Alright!" He said with his closed-eyed, wide smile, with a common thumbs. His grin was accompany by his and her laugh, and Happy out a paw to his mouth.

"They liiiiiiike each other." He said in a teasing tone. Lucy shot him a glare and the exceed hug behind Natsu.

"One last thing." Natsu said, giving a more soft grin and opening his eyes.

"Yes?" Asked Lucy.

"Would you go to the Fairy Tail Dance with me?"
