A few days ago billie bought me a promise ring and me and Billie both know how good I am at losing or misplacing things but ever since I've gotten this ring I've protected it with my life.

So today I'm gonna prank Billie and pretend I lost it, I'm gonna act sorry and sad so hopefully she doesn't be to mad.

I quickly hide the ring in our bedside table under some stuff when Billie walks in the room.

"Hey luv" Billie said as she walked in.

"H-hi"

"You okay"

"Umm-yeah"

"Your lying"

"No-no I'm not"

"Yes you are you stutter your words when your upset or nervous"

Damn she knows me so well.

"I-I Um I'm really sorry and please don't get mad at me I feel horrible and I know you said it would happen but I was so careful-

"Cierra stop it's okay just say it"

"I-I lost my promise ring"

Billies expression dropped

"Baby I'm so sorry I never meant to lose it"

she slowly let go a breath she was holding in.

"It's okay, Im just disappointed"

"I wasn't gonna tell you but I felt horrible"

"No I'm happy you told me, it's better then you lying about it and me finding out for myself"

"I know how much it was and I know I lost it and I know how horrible I am and I know that-

"Baby stop it's okay, I'm sure it'll pop up somewhere, and if not then I guess it's all we can do"

Billie gave me a shy smile before she walked out of the room.

I felt so bad maybe this prank wasn't the best idea.

I walked downstairs and seen Billie sitting at the kitchen table while starring at the wall.

"Hey you okay"

"I really don't want to be mad at you because it was an honest mistake, but Cierra that ring meant so much to me, it well only ever be the first promise ring I've ever given you, and you lost it"

FUCK.ME.

"Why is this such a big deal to you"

"Because Cierra I love you I always well and everyday I tell you that but I feel like me telling you isn't enough, this is the first ring that represents our love, I felt like I finally showed u how much i care about you but it couldn't have been that important if you lost it"

"Billie I know how much you love me I don't need a ring for proof"

"I didn't mean it like that I just wanted you to have something to resemble our love that ring was a promise that no matter I will always and forever love you"

I didn't know what to say anymore so I knew I had to end the prank.

"Come with me" I said while holding out my hand, she looked up at me and shook her head.

"Can I just be alone please"

"Billie" I said with seriousness.

"Okay"

He grabbed my hand and we both walked upstairs.

I sat her own our bed and walked over to the table and pulled out the ring.

"I didn't get the reaction I was hoping for clearly but I couldn't just continue with this. I didn't know how much it meant to you"

I say while slipping the ring back in my finger.

I show Billie and she stood up to match my height.

"Wait- you didn't lose it"

"No baby I didn't, I know I misplaced literally everything but when I love and cherish something so much I protect it with my whole life"

I hold both of billies hands and look her in the eyes.

"I will never lose this ring because the love of my life, the woman I wanna marry gave it to me"

"I love you so much" Billie said while leaning in to kiss me.

"I love you so much more"
