The two of them remained in the car, bored as they watched Doyoung and the mystery man talk. "So," she began. "Remember when we first started working together on this case?"
"Oh shit yeah, it's been almost a year since we met- time really goes fast." He rested his head on the headrest as he looked at the girl beside him. He admired her, heart swelling with pride and love.
Seyeon gasped and jolted forward, scaring him. "What?" "You never told me what your dream job was!"
"Oh." Donghyuck said, finally realising what she was referring to and he groaned, covering his eyes with his hand in embarrassment.
"What is it? Oh my god, tell me!" She said, trying to pry his hands away. "Okay but don't make fun of me." Seyeon nodded and waited impatiently for him to tell her, on the edge of her seat.
"I wanted to be a daycare teacher..."
There was a silence on her response and Donghyuck groaned out, covering his face. "Holy shit." She said, it registering in her head.
"That's so fucking cute! You like children? Awwwwwww-" "Shut up." He grumbled and Seyeon laughed, patting his thigh. "Maybe one day we'll have our own."
Donghyuck looked over at her and smiled, leaning his forehead against hers. "I'd like that."
Their moment was short-lived as the figure exited the café, making Seyeon's eyes widen and jaw drop.
"No fucking way."

"Hey Seyeon." "Oh hey Renjun what's up?"
"Nothing really, we're playing video games downstairs, wanna join?" He offered, holding a box of soda cans and Seyeon shook her head. "No thanks Jun, but have fun."
Renjun nodded and made his way to the living room, boys scattered across the floor- shouting and arguing over who won.
Seyeon sighed contently and made her way upstairs, raking a hand through her hair once she made it to the bedroom. "There's no way..." She trailed off, running a hand over her face. "There's no evidence to support it." She muttered, walking over to her desk to figure out what she had missed exactly.
Seyeon sat there for hours on end, trying to connect the pieces, but she couldn't. Standing up, she groaned out of frustration and slammed her hand on the desk.
Two arms encircled her waist and she felt a small kiss being placed on the back of her neck. "What's wrong?" He murmured, lips brushing against her skin as she relaxed into him.
"It just doesn't make sense, it can't be right."
Donghyuck sighed and turned the girl around, gazing into her eyes and running a hand through her hair. "You need to relax, you're too stressed." He stated, pulling her away from the desk.
"I'll run you a nice bath, you stay here."
