It's been a couple of days since the attack. His hand has been fractured and his sister was always crying non stop now, saying that she was afraid that the man would come back and steal him away. Its always hard trying to calm down a 5 year old but a good hug and taking her out for icecream tends to do the trick.

Even though I'm her brother, I like to spoil her. I always hated how so many older siblings would talk shit about their brothers and sisters and they would always complain about how they got everything. Sullivan figured that if you are the one spoiling them, then you tend to feel less upset and rejected about it.

Sullivan had taken Rosy to Raskin-Bobbins after another one of her melt-downs. She was now smiling brightly up at him with her icecream clutched in her tiny hands, any signs of a fit had been wiped. She was a sweet kid.

"You wanna go to the park?" Sullivan asked, smiling down at her.

"Yeah! Let's go" Rosy cheered happily. Sullivan caught a smile from one of the workers scooping icecream for a young lady.

     "Alright"

As they walked down the path to the park, the sounds of children laughing and screaming happily came into earshot.

Rosy began to pick up her pace impatiently. "Come one, come on" she called back.

"Rosy, stay close" Sullivan called back, worry picking up in his voice. She only slowed down a few paces but kept ahead of him.

Once they reached the bark dust, Rosy sprinted forward, jumping up on one of the structures and instantly started talking to other kids trying to make friends. It was kinda funny how she made friends more easily than he did, she was also more popular than him.

They were the complete opposite. Rosy had long red hair that she got from her father, she always wore a bright smile and could make a friend out of anyone. While Sullivan had dark brown hair and preffered not to talk to people since it ended up coming out in awkward and nervous slurs.

Sullivan watched as Rosy and some other kids started chasing eachother in a game of tag. He wished he could go back in time to the days when he could play tag at the park with nothing to worry about.

A guy walked up to him and stood beside him watching Rosy play with her new friends. "Is that your sister?" The man said with a low deep voice. Puberty obviously hit hard for him.

"Y-yeah, she is.." Sullivan said awkwardly.

"Shes really pretty, she'll grow up to be a fine women" the man observed.

Sullivan began to feel a bit uncomfortable. Which is usually normal for him when talking to people but this felt different, like this man was after something, after Rosy... or after him..

"What's your name, son?" The man asked.

"S-sullivan" he hated how he stuttered like that, if this man was after something then it would make him seem more like an easy target.

"Wendell" The man faced him for the first time, holding out his hand. He had dark charcoal hair with sightless white eyes. He wore a black jacket with a gray shirt and black jeans. Sullivan wasnt going to lie that this guy was kinda hot..

Sullivan took his hand even though he felt more and more uncomfortable by the second, but he didnt want to seem rude just incase this guy was just another person passing by. Though sullivan thought it was kinda weird that some guy passing by would just start talking about someone's kid by calling her pretty.
