Part two will be posted shortly after.
Snow crunched as his hands dug deeper, air's not coming easy. Tears flowed uncontrollably, as unwanted memories flashed.
Grief turned to rage, everything's too much, the events burning in clear detail. The screams of his sister, of the village, the shouts of the raiders-
Never. Never will he feel the embrace of his mother, never will his dad take him hunting, never will he hear his sister's nagging, nothing will ever be the same, everything's gone. The only thing that will stay is the haunting memory of today.

"Tarol! You're going to be late!" She shook him violently enough to wake him. Stumbling out of bed, he put on a shirt looking at her. Spending all night practicing, has him tired, body: sore, mind: foggy.
Pushing back her long dark hair, she gave him a look that their mom would give them.
"Did you forget?" He scratched his head until it came to him.
"I can't believe that I almost overslept!"
"Yeah, neither can I, get dressed and get going!"
Flying out the door, his lungs filled with icy air, and the cool breeze nipped at his nose, as he ran to the training ground. Doubt and worry invaded his mind, he knew that if he couldn't beat his opponent then he would have to repeat the course, and if he was late then he would still have to repeat the course. So there's only two options, be on time, and win.
When he finally got there, the rest of the students was already sitting behind Master, with his opponent on the other side of the river that flows throughout the village.
"Nice of you to join us," he said, "ready?" Both students nodded. "Begin."
Everything was still and quiet, neither student dared made the first move.
Tarol staggered back, as Ningi struck him with a Water Whip, he rubbed his shoulder where it started turning red.
Tarol shot back at her by wrapping water around her legs, making her trip.
She quickly regained herself jumping in the air, with her foot guiding a rush of water at him, knocking him back to the ground, she had a look of satisfaction.
Tarol grew worried, if he couldn't beat Ningi than he would have repeat the course for basic training, which is not a good idea to him, because he knows that basic training is too basic.
Collecting himself as he stood, she stared at him. Her white hair flowed freely in the wind, as she chuckled.
Doing a flip, he knocked her back, but she palmed the water blocking it. He bended water at her again and again, but each time she dogged it.
He fell to his knees gasping for air, when he let his guard down, she bended water at him knocking him five feet back.
His classmates cheered from behind the stands, at least he was brave enough to take on the Master's daughter, which he now began to think was foolish of himself.
When he stood their Master also stood, he walked in between the match and glanced at the both of them.
Tarol's heart started pounding, he didn't want to repeat basics, if he could beg Master to give him another chance with someone else then he would in for sure.
"Tarol I honor your bravery for going against my daughter-" she giggled and he gave her a side eye- "which is why I won't force you to repeat basics. Every time you got knocked back you got right back up. While you might not be the true winner of this match you still did good congratulations."
