~Chapter Twenty-Three~

*Third Person pov*

As Jonah ran out of the house to the paramedics, it dawned on Corbyn that Daniel was not currently with them.

He looked at his phone and opened the app he has to monitor the boys. Do they know about it? Probably not, he never told them about it but that's just part of the job. And now it came in handy.

*Corbyn's pov*

That fucking snake Daniel is working with George. I always suspected something off with him. He would always try to be closer with whoever we have than the others were. Now it makes sense why. For now, we have to deal with Bella getting shot.

*Jonah's pov*

I go in the ambulance with Bella and hope and pray that she lives. "I'm here for you Bella, forever and always."

As the ambulance zooms down the street, I feel tears fall down my face. In the time that Bella has been here, I had realized that she was much diferent than any other girl that we had taken. She was willing to stand up for her self instad of letting Corbyn push her around. I think Zach noticed this too, which is why he was so willing to help her. What she doesn't know is, that night that Corbyn raped her, Zach almost ran in the room and attacked Corbyn. I was the one to stop him because I didnt want anything bad to happen to Zach, he's not as tough as any of us, and taking on Corbyn is such a bad idea. He would be as good as dead.

"Sir, we are here, please leave the ambulance," One of the paramedics says to me, knocking me out of my own thoughts. I gave a smile to them as I got off of the ambulance. I sat in the waiting room as I thought about Zach. He was admitted to the same hospital. We had seen him not too long ago. I found out from the nurses that he should only have a few days left, he may be able to get out soomer if he passses the tests that the hospital has.

"Excuse me," I say to the person sitting at the front desk. She looks at me but doesn't say anything so i just og on and say "Would it be possible to see Zachary Herron?"

"Yes sir, just let me get you the information and the sign in sheet," She says as she hands me a paper to sign. She tells me the room number and I go down the hall to see him.

"Hey Jonah, whats up!" Zach says as I walk in the room.

"Zach you're up" I say in blasphamy

"Yeah, ive been up for a while. The doctors told me that I might be able to leave tonight, I would just need somone over the age of 18 to check me out" He says with a smile

"I can check yo out" i say nonchontly. "Oh you should know something."

"What's wrong"

"Bella got shot today, shes actually here right now"

"So the day I get out, Bella gets checked in?" Zach says, tears clearly beading in his eyes

"Yeah, it sucks i know, but Bella is a fighter so i have a lot of hope for her," i say, not sure if i even believe my words.

"You're right, she is a fighter," He says with a little laugh. "But what if she doesn't make it" his voice broke a little, "I don't want to see another inocent girl die" tears started to fall down his face.

"I know Zach, I feel the same way," I say as I think about all the girls who have lost their lives because Corbyn didn't find them fit.

"I just hope you are right" He says in a soft tone.

"Why don't we just get home? I'll check yo out in the front the desk, we can worry about Bella later" I say as i give Zach a light smile

"ok," He says, his voice barly a crock.

With that, I leave the room and go back to the front desk. "Is it possible that i can check out Zachary Herron, I have ID"

The woman checks my ID and goes into the computer. "I'll have some doctors go and get him" she says after typing something on her computer.

After about twenty minutes, Zach comes down the hallway. "Ready to go Zach" I say to him with a smile

"Yeah" he says, his voice a little stonger than before.

Zach and I step outside the hospiatal, and I call an uber to pick us up. We get in the uber and soon enough we get back to the place we get home.

"Oh yeah," I say, " I forgot to tell you something"
