I laid back on my bed, my eyes closed and my heart racing. There was a knock on the door and I groaned.

"Who is it?" I yelled.

"Me." a soft voice rang from the other side of the wooden door. I slammed the door open and Charlie stood there. She looked uncomfortable.

"Hey... You okay?" she asked, walking into my room.

"Just invite yourself in." I groan. She sits on the sofa that was against the wall.

"What now?" I asked.

"What is it with you today? You go from being dead silent all day to screaming your head off at the most powerful demon in Hell!" she exclaimed.

"Yeah, that happened." I shrugged, fixing my bed sheets.

"C'mon, you can talk to me!" she said.

"I know, I'm talking to you right now." I shrugged. She sighed.

"Come on, Y/n. Be serious, what do you have against Alastor?" she asked.

"I have many things against him. He's going to use you, Charlie. This isn't going to end well." I said.

"Everyone deserves a second chance!" she said loudly.

"Fucking whatever, Charlie. Go cry to your girlfriend about your dreams, maybe that'll do something." I said angrily.

"No need to be so harsh!" she said calmly.

"This is Hell, Charlie. Get used to it." I said coldly. I opened my door, and when I looked in the doorway, Alastor stood there with his maniacal smile.

"Hello, you two! How are we this fine evening?" he asked, waltzing in my room as if he owned it. Charlie nervously smiled at me.

"I'm going to leave now." she chuckled, running out of the door and shutting it quickly behind her.

"For the love of Lucifer, what the hell do you want? I'm trying to take a nap for fucks sake!" I said angrily.

"I'm Alastor!" he said smiling, holding his hand out.

"I know." I said, smacking his hand down and walking over to my bed. His smile faltered for a second, but it returned almost immediately.

"Haha, what is it with you, darlin'? You're all angry, it's as if you hate me." he laughed.

"I cannot confirm nor deny that statement." I said, laying back on my bed.

"Listen, I think you're a charming demon. You're radiating power and beauty! Can you at least try to like me for now? We've only just met!" he said.

"No." I said coldly. His smile faltered again, this time lasting longer. It took him a second, but he regained his posture and his smile. The smiled that filled me with anger.

"Give me a valid reason why you won't at least give me a chance."

"Because I don't want to." I crossed my arms.

"Well, you can't stop me from trying to make you like me." he said cockily.

"Fair enough." I sighed.

"See? Even you agree to that!" he chuckled. "So, what's your name, Darlin'?"

I groaned and sat up, looking at him. He was still smiling, did he ever not?

"Y/n. Y/n L/n." I said.

"Wonderful! A lovely name that suits this lovely lady perfectly!" he said happily.

"Yeah, yeah. Are you done yet?" I asked impatiently.

"I believe I never received a proper handshake." he said. "A handshake is a key to a great first impression."

"It's too late for that." I hissed. Alastor sighed, but kept his smile.

"I see you're not in the best of moods, I will see you after your nap. We can try this again when you're not tired and grumpy." he said.

"Whatever." I sighed. "See you in a bit."

He chuckled and waved. He opened the door and slipped out quickly, then shut it.

"He's not as bad as I thought he was." I grumbled to myself. "But I'd never admit that to his face."

I sighed knowing he wasn't going to stop pestering me until I at least tolerated him.

"Dear Lucifer do I have terrible luck." I mumbled, throwing myself back into the bed and passing out almost as soon as my head hit the pillow.
