Astrid passes the sign of Shreveport. Driving all the way from New York has been, devastating without an ounch of alcohol. She passes another sign - Fangtasia, a vampire bar. Astrid steers her car towards the bar longing for a drink. Fangtasia - such a silly name. It's all Astrid can think about as she walks into the club to get something strong. She's been driving too much today and now she just needs something to wash the fear away with, even if it just is temporary. She sits down at the bar and orders the regular. As she takes a sip of the drink she takes a look around. Vampires dancing, fangbangers watching and a dude who sits in a chair, watching her. Why is he watching her? Such a creep. Astrid quickly turns away from his gaze, but he has already laid his eyes on her. The man is soon by her side.
"Never seen you here before."
"I've never been here before."
Astrid takes another sip and takes a good look at the blonde man. He's cute but, she ain't a fangbanger.
"I'm Eric, who are you?"
"Eric, you ain't getting my name. I ain't a fangbanger nor a blood bag."
Astrid swipes her whole drink and tries to leave. Eric places a hand on her shoulder, preventing her from moving. She stiffens under his touch, being disgusted by the confidence that radiates around him.
"Stubborn I see. What are you?"
Astrid frowns and lifts his hand off her. She really dislikes that question.
"Do I really look that much like a dude? I'm a chick."
Eric laughs and lets her leave. Astrid hurries to her car, as she tries to not trip over the badly damages asphalt. That's the last time she's ever going to enter a vampire bar. As she makes her way out on the highway again she starts to question. Why the fuck did he know she wasn't a regular boring human? Vampires keep surprising her, all the time. She steers towards Bon Temps, where she hired a small house. Hopefully, the wolves won't find her there for a couple of months.

Astrid would love to wake up to the sun shining and birds chirping but for some reason, she always have to wake up to this goddamn annoying alarm. She hates it. Hates it. Without any sight, due to her sleepy eyes, she tries to turn off the alarm and success just within seconds. A new record! As she crawls out of bed, she hears someone bang on the door. She doesn't bother to dress, she just makes her way down to the door like a zombie. When Astrid opens the door an older lady stumbles in, she opens her mouth but nothing comes out.
"I don't got all day pretty woman," the lady says to her. As she looks Astrid up and down, with a disgusted look on her face, something in her mind seems to clear. Suddenly she yells right into Astrid's face.
"You've got to help me! They're taking my son!"
Even though she seems a little crazy, Astrid grabs her nearest pair of jeans and tosses on a shirt before she follows the woman. They run through the woods, dodging branches like bullets, just like they are Indiana Jones. When Astrid is sweating like a pig, they finally reach a house. The woman tries to hush her but Astrid has to breath. Running has never been her thing. She is just surprised how the old lady could keep that pace up.
"You have to be quiet girl, they're inside."
Astrid follows the woman who creeps up the stairs to the front door. She jerks the door open, just to reveal two men standing bare naked and kissing.
"Get them! They are doing a sin in front of Mary!"
Astrid looks away with her hand above her eyes. Her cheeks flusters as she tries to give the men all the privacy they need.
