Pack system:

1 Alpha- Male or female, doesn’t matter

1 Beta- To replace the Alpha once they have passed on

Medic(s)/Healer(s)- The medic’s job is to heal the sick or wounded wolves, they may have an apprentice, making there multiple medics.

Elders: Retired wolves, believed to be wise and are part of the Counsel along with the Alpha, Beta and Healer. These wolves either become Storytellers or Stargazers.

Omega: Any current prisoner or low-lying wolf that is not trusted within the pack.

Minors:

Hunters- These wolves’ jobs are to hunt and get food for the pack, they’re usually swift, thin and agile.

Guards- These wolves’ jobs are to go on territory scouts, and to chase off any trespassers, they’re usually sturdy and strong.

Builders- These wolves’ jobs are to build or fix the camp where the pack is currently staying. If there is nothing left to build or fix, they go with the hunters.

Craftswolves- Usually not very common in a pack, but they forge weapons or other useful objects out of materials they find.

SmallPaws: Apprentices that have reached a certain age to work in a minor group but have not completed their Trial yet.

Nursers: These are she-wolves that are expecting or currently nurturing pups, and do not have to hunt or fight.

Spirit Wolves- Deceased wolves that are believed to wander the forests and skies, as well as watch over the pack.

The Trial- Once a SmallPaw is believed to be old enough and has all the needed skills, they are to become a minor or a full healer. The Trial is a true test of strength and resourcefulness, taken by each upcoming minor as well as new Alphas. The pup(s) that are being tested will be taken out into the territory and will be expected to survive on their own for 7 sunrises. If they survive, they will be welcomed back into the pack as a minor. If they decide to quit The Trial before the time is over, they will be either exiled from the pack or will become an Omega. If they do not survive, they will still be honored by their fellow Pack members, as it shows that they tried. This tradition has been followed for many generations by the Pack. It has been thought that a pup would be cursed if they did not take The Trial, causing them to seem like an outlaw.
