Sometimes the tree betrays you. As you climb higher and higher the branches become more judgmental. They snap if they don't like you. When they snap you fall. If you're high enough up, you get hurt. That kind of hurt is physical but there is also mental pain. Knowing that the tree you once loved is the reason for your pain hurts more than any physical pain. And it doesn't stop hurting. Ever.
