"Can i pretty please go to the park?" Mason begged his mother.

"Fine kiddo but don't be too long. Your sister want to play with you before dinner" His mom said with a sigh.

"Thanks mom!" Mason yelled running out the door.

"What am I going to do with that kid" His mom said quietly with a smile. Mason ran down the block and around the corner to the nearby park. He slowed to a stop at the edge of it. Smiling to himself he walked over and climbed up the ladder to the slide. He looks over the edge of the slide hearing laughter.

"Loser!" A girl yelled shoving the other to the ground.

"Hey! Leave her alone!" Mason yelled quickly going down the slide and running over to them.

"Whatever" The girl rolls her eyes and walks away. Mason turns to the girl and offers her a hand.

"Are you okay?" Mason asked concerned. She smiles and takes it pulling herself up.

"Yeah I think so. Thank you!!" She says before pulling him into a hug. He laughs hugging her back.

"Your welcome!! I'm Mason, nice to meet you!"

"I'm Horizon!" She says letting him go. "Do you want to go on the slide with me"

He nods quickly grabbing her hand and running off dragging her with laughing. They played together for hours until it was time for them to each go home.

"Do you want to meet up here again tomorrow?" Mason asked excitedly

"Of course!!" Horizon says grinning and gives him a hug. "Cya tomorrow Mas!"

They met up at the park everyday playing tons of different games ranging from pirates, to knights, to just sitting down and talking.  They got really close over the next few months. They had sleepovers almost every night.

"Mom! Can i please invite Horizon over!?" Mason yelled to his mother.

"Sure hun!" She yelled back. Mason jumps up smiling and runs out of the house. He runs down the block to Horizon's house. He knocks on the door and waits for an answer. He grins when the door opens.

"Hello Mrs. Witherfire!!!" Mason says happily.

"why hello Mason! Weren't you just here just a few days ago?" She asks.

"Yeah! I was wondering if Horizon could sleep over again!?" He asks. She laughs and nods opening the door for him to come in. He fist pumps and runs inside up to her room.

"Guess whos here! That's right your favorite person ever!'" Mason says as he struts into her room. Horizon giggles before running over and hugging him.

"You know it!!" She says happily. "Are we having a sleepover!?"

"Yup!!" Mason grins. Horizon jumps up and down happily. She grabs an already packed bag and his hands pulling him down the stairs and out of the house. \She drags Mason all the way back to his house them both laughing. They run up to his room laughing and have a fun movie night.

Mason runs downstairs quickly while horizon watches the movie.

"Mom where are the flowers!?" Mason yells quietly.

"There on the table sweetie. Good luck" She replies with a wink. Rolling his eyes Mason grabs the flowers and runs back to his room.

"Horizon I was wondering if maybe you wanted to go the festival with me next week?" He asks holding the flowers out to her. She gasps taking the flowers before hugging him.

"I would love to Mason! It's going to be so fun!" She replies excitedly. And it was. They rode lots of rides together, eat snacks, played games and even went through a big mirror maze. At the end of this night they went on the Ferris Wheel to watch the sunset.

"Thank you for bringing me here Mas i had lots of fun" Horizon said smiling at him.

"Me too! I hope life is always like this" He says wrapping his arm around her shoulder.

"I do too. It's perfect" She replies looking off into the sunset.
