as i stand on the platform, with sun kissed cheeks and a dry mouth,i slowly gaze over the crowd, taking in all the people who have come to see my end,the gallowsmen places the nooses around my neck,a necklace to seal my final fate.My eyes hold nothing,no sadness, resentment or fear of any kind.

A women with sorrow filled eyes that hold a tinge of hatred is caught in my line of vision,i stare right into her eyes and remember why i'm here,i killed this very women's husband.

the scratch of rope around my throat starts to become more apparent, and i take my empty filled gaze somewhere else,i look above.

A strange time they've decided to hang me indeed, sunset.i stare out into the wild winding colors that fill the sky, that's one thing i'll miss about this place, the sky.
so wild and unpredictable.
i hear the faint shout of an order to pull the lever be called but i don't care,i've accepted my fate and am ready to greet death like a long awaited friend.
i close my eyes and allow the ghost of a smile to come over my face, oblivion will come soon,i will be at peace.
