A child who is disciplined will be more obedient and also more organized as a student. — Bill Cosby
"Mr. Kim Seokjin, your father has requested you go through these documents," said Seokjin's father's assistant as he placed a stack of folders on top of Seokjin's desk. "Put the approved and denied applications in separate piles. Have your assistant deliver them once they have been completed."
Seokjin nodded. "Certainly. Thank you, Mingi."
Once his father's assistant left the office, Seokjin took a seat at his desk and stared at the thick stack of files. He peered down at the first document before him. From what the first file was, he concluded the documents were descriptions of suggestions for the company's next fashion trend.
Upon opening the first file and only seeing a mere millisecond of it, he immediately rejected it, picking up a red pen to write 'DENIED' on the paper. There was no way he was going to let the company release products looking like that. It was not professional, and Eoduun Company needed to keep up its image and reputation.
He rejected the first few suggested ideas before setting them aside, his fingers pressed to the side of the paper unreviewed suggestions just to have a brief feel of how many ideas he had to deal with.
This was going to take a while, but the job had to be done.
While he was going through the piles and basically rejecting every single clothing design, his office phone began ringing and he immediately answered. "Hello, Kim Seokjin speaking."
"This is Yoo Mingi. When you are finished, your father would like to speak with you."
"Of course. Thank you, Mingi." Seokjin hung up without another word, returning to the documents. He had no time to waste—he must complete them at once.
There was a knock on the door, and Seokjin called out without looking up, "Enter."
The door opened and in walked a figure. Seokjin finally glanced up to see a man with dark hair holding a clipboard.
"All the files have been delivered to their respective departments," said the man, Yoongi, who was Seokjin's assistant.
"Okay," Seokjin began, returning to focusing on the work before him. "I am working on approving and rejecting clothing ideas. When I have finished, please take them upstairs to my father."
"Of course, sir." Yoongi bowed. He looked at his clipboard. "You have a meeting with Mr. Lee Ahn in half an hour."
"Confirm with him that he is still attending and will not be postponed for the third time. I refuse to do business with people who have such unprofessional manners."
"It's been confirmed." Seokjin looked up at Yoongi who cleared his throat and repeated, "It has been confirmed."
"Thank you." Seokjin pushed the files he already reviewed towards Yoongi. "This is the finished pile. I will leave these on my desk and you collect them when I leave for the meeting. Also, tell my father I will meet with him after the meeting."
"Of course."
"That is all. Return to your duties I have assigned to you."
Yoongi left and Seokjin continued his work without further interruptions. Out of all the three hundred—give or take a few—clothing ideas, Seokjin only approved seven. But for goodness' sake, why were 97.67% of the ideas so... atrocious? Who did he have to fire for such poorly designed clothes?
Seokjin had completed his work five minutes to spare. He stood from his seat and straightened the pile on his desk before grabbing a few documents needed for the meeting and exiting his office.
