Hey guys! First of all, I would just like to thank anyone reading this for taking the time out of their day to read my book/story or whatever you wanna call it haha. And second of all, I know that a lot of books/stories/fanfictions on here that insert pictures of what their characters look like. That's a cool idea and all power to them for thinking of the great idea of showcasing how they want the reader to see their characters. However, I don't want to do that because I want you guys to interpret the characters as how you see them. So if I choose a picture of a guy/girl that's supposed to be a "cute guy/girl" in my story, but you don't think he/she's cute; you wouldn't be disturbed. However, if you guys feel like I should insert pictures, please feel free to comment below!

Chapter One - The Underworld

I seriously don't know how I got myself here. You hear stories about it everywhere. You've heard stories about it since childhood. The Underworld. Hell. The place where no one wants to end up. A place with scorching hot flames and home to Satan himself. But it's not as bad as the stories told.

I look around, the dry air brushed against my soft skin. The heat of the fires around me pressing on my face. The mascara on my eyelashes almost want to melt off like wax melting from a birthday candle. I walk towards nothing as the ashes below my shoes crumble each step I take. There was nothing in front of me. I haven't seen a person or thing since I've been here. I was in Hell alright. Hot, hot, Hell. Good thing I like Summer.

I've been walking for what felt like hours now. No water, no food, no people. Am I really alone here? I can't be. And that's when I see it. I see it. A dark red palace the color of dried blood in the distance. It had rough edges and spikes with thorns coming out of its front walls. There were no windows, and there was only one entrance. It was about a mile away from me, so instinctively, I speed walk towards it.

I'm at the door. The one door. The paint on it was peeling off. There were ashes in between the cracks. I knock on the door three times. Dirt getting in between my pale knuckles each time I knocked. I heard footsteps coming close from the other side of the door. Someone, something's there. I brace myself. I'm shaking a bit, I don't know what's behind that old, red, dead, piece of wood. The door opens.

It was a lady. A little lady. In a bright pink chiffon dress. How ironic.

"Hey what do you want," she says in a low, deep pitched voice.

I shake at the sound of her voice, "I-."

"WHAT DO YOU WANT," she yells.

I stand there, stunned. I don't answer.

"Linda what's wrong?" A voice from behind her calls. I look behind Linda to see who it was. A tale, pale figure of a man walks towards us. He's intimidating. Very intimidating. His full black tux moving gracefully with him as he walks. He looks at me. Looks at me for at least ten seconds. Ten seconds of complete silence. I could only hear the whisping sounds of the flames outside. I look into his light grey eyes. I try to read them but I can't. He's full poker face.

"Linda go," He says in a deep raspy voice as Linda scurries away on her small petite little feet. "Come in." He says as I follow him through the door. It closes with a loud thud. "Who are you?" He asked me, staring down and then up me again.

"My name's Clarissa," I say in a small, quiet voice.

"Clarissa." He repeats, never breaking eye contact with me. "What a nice namie. What a nice face. What nice hazel eyes. What nice cheekbones that peak and hollow in." He lifts my chin up with his finger. "Such a shame that you're in MY realm. I don't like visitors. WHY WOULD I. How DARE you come in MY HOME and disrupt MY LIFE like this. I'm going to have to throw you in for my pets to eat. Sounds like a great ide-."

"Father?" A raspy but soft voice says.
