We all start to worry that he's near us. Whispering spreads through the crowd. Then, bam. I start to get woozy and hit the ground. I wake up to the sound of screams. Alex is yelling at me to wake up. I groggily open my eyes. I see dead bodies all around me. Ally is still asleep but we're bound with ropes. I kicked her and she opened her eyes. "When I say run, run, ok?" She whispered to me. I nodded. "Where's Eli?" I asked. "Right here," she said. I look over and there she is. "Are we ready?" Alex asked. As another person screams, Ally says, "One, two, three, RUN." We took off running and got to the woods. Before we got unbound from the zipties, Alex said, "Ok I think we're ..." (squinch) His body hit the ground. We all scream before taking off running. We lost sight of Eli. We were running together when Ally looked back and tripped and told us to keep going. I didn't stop. I knew one of us needed to make it out alive. I stop to hide in a dead tree when I hear his laughter and the scraping of metal on the ground. I hear Eli scream at the horror, and SLASH! Her body thuds against the ground. The scraping gets closer and closer, and then- nothing. No sound. No scraping. I hold my breath so he can't hear me. I slowly open my eyes- there he is. Right as he is about to slash my throat, I kick him and run for the town. He was wearing Eli's demon mask. I ran and hid for two days, until help arrived. They didn't catch the killer.
