As if the day couldn't get any weirder. Of course Percy would find himself being the tour guide for a batty old woman from a mysterious background.
All Chiron had told him was she was a very important guest and her presence could determine the fate of the Camp and Olympus itself.
"I didn't always believe I had the sight, you know." Sighed the Lady. She had greying blonde, frizzy hair, that was half hidden by shawls. Her eyes were magnified by gigantic round eyeglasses that almost ate her face.
"Well isn't that why you need glasses?" Asked Percy, confused as to why this random woman was telling her about her medical prescriptions.
"Ah, no, daft boy. I mean to say the gift of prophecy-"
The woman continued talking, but Percy zoned out. Prophecy. No, that wasn't possible. Apollo had been banished to Tartarus by Zeus for... Well nothing. Artemis was insisting that it was only a temporary arrangement, designed to scare Apollo. But with the Gods temporary could mean anything from 1 month, to millennia.
Percy guided the woman to the big house, where Chiron was waiting.
"You are Sybill Trelawney?" Asked Chirom, in a sharp, but welcoming way.
"Yes." She said in her drowsy voice, "I have travelled a great way for this.. Ah... Meeting, I hope it deems worthwhile."
Chiron smiled. "If worthwhile is the fate of the universe itself, then yes, I believe it shall be worthwhile to you. Now, if you step inside with me. Percy, you are no longer needed, you may return to your camp activities."
Percy smiled at Chiron and strolled toward the lake. Without really thinking about it, he plunged himself into the centre and sat himself towards the bottom.
This is great. The previous week had been filled with endless goodbyes and stress. Reyna had led the Twelth Legion back to Camp Jupiter and Percy had reunited with his mother after several months apart.
The reunion was heartbreaking. Percy didn't really remember too much about it, just a lot of tears and then screaming about his SPQR tattoo.
"Percy Jackson!" Yelled a gleeful voice, that was slightly muffled through the water. Just as Percy began to swim to the surface, a girl threw herself atop of him.
They pair of them then swam to the air and Percy realised that it was Thalia Grace.
Thalia Grinned, "Alright, Seaweed Brain?"
Percy cringed "NO! ONLY ANNABETH!!!!!!!"
Thalia rolled her eyes and laughed and then a voice behind them yelled, "Speaking of Annabeth..."
Percy's girlfriend then splashed into the water beside Percy.
Percy laughed, happy to see Annabeth, but he then remembered the serious nature of the day and thought better of his laughter.
"Any luck?" He asked Annabeth.
"No." Annabeth said, sadly, "We'll just have to go through with a funeral with no body."
"Woah, what's going on?" Asked Thalia.
Percy sighed, "Do you remember Leo Valdez?"
Thalia nodded, "Oh... Of course. Today isn't it?"
Annabeth then put a hand on Percy's shoulder, reassuringly, "Don't be grim. Today is Leos day, and I think Leo is the least likely guy to want people to be sad. He would much rather his funeral a celebration of life, rather than a room of people crying."
Percy smiled, "I guess you're right. Today is Leos day and we have to think of what he would want."
It was then that the fireworks started.
