It was usually Will who did the fussing in this friendship. Nico had been mulling under a tree, with headphones in when Will had his accident. He missed his target in archery and was chased by a mob of angry harpies, who left him with a gash in his cheek. Nico tried to hide his feelings usually, but other times he acted like him and Will were practically married and Nico insisted Will went to the infirmary at once. Obviously, Will had no objection to this, in fact he was almost prepared to bind the wound himself, but he had just laughed at Nico's sudden concern for the medical side of things.
Nico felt his cheeks get hotter, as Solace giggled, the sun shining off his radiant hair. He then proceeded to give Will the death stare. Unfortunately it didn't seem to work on Will, the way it did with Percy. Will just mocked him and carried on laughing, ignoring the blood pouring down his cheeks.
Nico sighed and ran his hands through his hair. He had recently cut it a couple of inched shorter and it was still a shock to feel so light. Of course the decision to cut it had been Hazels, not his.
Nico started to lose himself for a moment. This had happened a lot recently. Ever since shadow travelling with Coach Hedge and Reyna, his entire soul had shaken, breaking him in two and keeping himself in a box of misery. Of course, keeping the literal sun around had turned about to be a good thing after all. Will wasn't just practiced in medicine, he was his cure. Nevertheless, Nico still experienced this feeling of emptiness, and it ate up his insides on a daily basis.
He was so lost in thought that he almost didn't realise he had walked into the infirmary. He leaned against a pole as a sister of Will's performed ancient Apollo magic on his cheek. Ever since Apollo had been banished to Tartarus, his children has experienced a lack of their own magic, being forced to use textbook spells. Nico hoped that Apollo would be freed soon. For Will's sake, not the gods. Nico knew justice, but he'd never say that in front of Will. Gods if he ever had any hope of Will liking him back. Apollo kids had a lot of cabin-pride.
The solitude of the tent was broken, when laughter entered. Annabeth and Thalia strolled in, casually dragging Percy along behind them.
Nico smirked at the dazed Percy. "Do I need an explanation?"
Annabeth stifled extreme laughter. "Thalia electrocuted Percy's air bubble. Anybody else would have died. Not Percy. He just went full Seaweed Brain."
Nico was rather confused. "Uh-huh. So basically Percy used his demigodly power to break science?"
"Pretty much." Shrugged Thalia.
"And what he do this time to deserve this?"
Thalia grinned. "He kissed my little sister, Annabeth."
Annabeth couldn't control her laughter. Nico managed a smile. He had gotten over his feelings for the son of Poseidon, but he couldn't deny he looked cute when in shock. "So what exactly will bringing him to the infirmary do?"
"I don't know. Ambrosia and Nectar? Just something to get some flow in his brain. If that is possible." Said Annabeth, coolly.
Will, who had finally had his cheek magically bound, with just an undeniably hot scar left, was already on it, feeding Percy through a blue mug. Percy began to stir.
"Fireworks." He muttered, opening his eyes and closing them again.p
"Uh." said Thalia, "lightening?"
Percy sat up. "Leo."
Percy then fell back to sleep. Within 30 seconds he was drooling on Annabeths hand.[A.N - Back with a pathetically short chapter. Tbh I forgot about this story, but I got some requests to continue and at last I remember my ideas. Anyway hope it was at least meh, as it is 2AM and my seaweed brain is falling asleep.]
