T H R E E

The next morning we were all called outside and I was excited as I saw a Pyramid of cages containing the cutest puppies ever, were we going to get to choose one, if so I really had my eyes on the top one, it was just so fluffy and cute and I couldn't handle it.  Unfortunately I was stood next to Charlie who wouldn't stop trying to talk to me, "come on Thea, you can't still be mad at me, I-" I turned to him with a glare so deadly he shut up immediately, "Don't talk to me right now Charlie." I spit out ignoring the confused look Eggsy sent my way. Thankfully Merlin came out and stood on the balcony above us so Charlie couldn't respond.

"As some of you will have learned last night...teamwork is paramount here at Kingsman. We're here to enhance your skills,test you to the limit.Which is why you're gonna pick a puppy. Wherever you go, your dog goes. You will care for it. You will teach it. And by the time it's fully trained, so will you be. Those of you who are still here,that is. Do you understand? Choose your puppy." He instructs and I barely hold in my excitement as I basically sprint to get the puppy in the top cage. I didn't even care, I wasn't going to let anyone grab him before I did.

I grabbed the puppy and he was even fluffier in my arms, I never wanted to let him go.

"A poodle?" Eggsy asked Roxy in amusement, "What? They're gun dogs. Oldest working breed. Easy to train." She defended before looking down at his puppy. "A pug?" He looked at me then the pug in confusion, "It's a bulldog, innit?" I shook my head at him making him begin to worry. "It'll get bigger, though, won't it?" He asked us looking from Roxy to a smug Charlie trying to hold back his laughter, "Shit." He cursed in realisation.

We were then given the rest of the day off to bond with the puppies. Eggsy, Roxy and I decided to stay outside and went to sit on the field under a large tree.

I leaned against it and watched with a fond smile as my ball of fluff ran around with Roxy's poodle, Eggsy's pug seemed to be slightly afraid of the other dogs so he lingered around Eggsy who was sat beside me. The three of us spoke for a while as the puppies played until Roxy decided to go in and do some reading leaving Eggsy and I.

"So what're your gonna call him." I asked nodding my head towards his adorable pug, "J.B" I nodded but then looked to him in confusion, "as in Justin Bieber." He shook his head quite vigorously making me laugh, "what? No as in Jack Bauer." His reaction made me laugh even harder, which in turn made him begin to laugh. "That makes more sense." I giggled, "so what did you call yours?" He asks back nodding towards my pup, "Loki."

"Loki?" He echos back, "like from the marvel movies?" I give a half nod, "well kind of yeah, my family's very into mythology, my sister and I were both named after two goddesses and my sister named her dog Thor so I guess Loki fits." I shrug and he nods.

"Two goddesses? Athena is the Greek goddess of wisdom and war, but what's the second one?" He asked genuinely interested. "Juno-" before I could continue he spoke, "Roman goddess of Love and marriage right?" I nodded impressed, "wow you know your stuff." I speak slightly shocked, "don't sound so shocked love." He told me with a wink.

"And your sister?" He asked me, no one had ever been this interested in my life, I was kind of shocked.  "Her name was Astraea Venus." I told him although he seemed a bit confused, "I know Venus but Astraea?" It was understandable not many people knew who Astraea was. "Goddess of innocence and justice."

"Well you learn something new everyday." He shrugged. Loki came running over and jumped on me excitedly licking my face. "Loki stop it." I managed to get out between giggles. He didn't listen though and continued. "Eggsy help me." I giggled uncontrollably. "Sorry but you're on your own, love." He laughed back.

After finally calming down, Loki fell asleep on my lap rendering me motionless. "So..." Eggsy started making me turn to him intrigued. "What's the deal with you and Charlie?" He asked quite timidly.

I didn't answer for a moment it was quite a big story and it was a bit much to tell someone you just met. "It's a long story." I sighed, he nodded at me, "I mean you don't have to tell me but we have time." I looked at him and thought it over, I mean why not.

"So you know at most rich kids sweet sixteens they get cool expensive gifts like a yacht or a car, well for my sweet sixteen I got an arraigned marriage to Charlie." Eggsy was speechless he just looked at me in shock. "What the fuck, nah bruv that's messed up." He muttered, "so you're his wife?" He asked me completely appalled. I shook my head vigorously.

"Thankfully not, basically I was young and dumb so I went along with the idea trying desperately to make my parents proud of me, but I didn't want to get married so I got into a relationship with Charlie for their sake and to buy time. In the end I actually ended up falling for him like an idiot, he cheated on me multiple times and then still tried to force me into marriage. My older sister Astraea had a problem with it from the start and she ended up fighting for custody of me, my parents gave in not wanting a scandal to tarnish their perfect reputation and I was free from my family and Charlie although I don't know what my parents have been telling his because they still think we're going to get married but we're most definitely not."

"That's... a lot." He seemed disturbed not that I could blame him, "I know. Tell me about your family." I requested wanting to get to talk to him longer, and he did. He told me all about his father and his death and how that impacted his mother who then got with 'Dean' who seemed like an awful man. He told me about how he wanted to leave more than anything but stayed for his mum and his baby sister.

So there we sat talking about our messed up lives for hours.
