Ava stumbles down the hall, being dragged by Stormtroopers. She looks up from the floor seeing a dimly lit interrogation room. Now, wait. You're probably wondering how Ava got here. Well, I'll tell you. She was involved with the Resistance employed as an X-Wing pilot. She was one of Rey's best friends. She was also Poe's sister. So, of course, she knew a lot about Luke Skywalker.
The dimly lit room gave Ava bad vibes the moment she set foot into it. She is shoved down into the chair in the room. It suddenly leans back and straps are secured around her. She glances frantically around the room for any sign of escape. She feels weak and disoriented just having crashed on a nearby plant because of being shot by a TIE fighter. Apparently, someone gave orders to go retrieve her from the plant. It's a miracle Ava didn't die. She looks around again noticing the stormtroopers are gone. Being on the Finalizer wasn't a good feeling for any Resistance member. Poe was probably looking for her right now. The door suddenly opens and a masked, cloaked figure enters. Ava internally panics. "Ava Dameron." The masked man says. His voice is mechanical. Ava swallows the lump in her throat. "Why am I here?" Ava asks. "The Resistance." The man says, his voice cold and demanding. "The what?" Ava says trying to play dumb. "Don't be stupid. I can pry if I need to." The man says circling the chair. Ava is becoming increasingly nervous. "I don't know anything." Ava says. "I guess we are veering towards the hard way of doing this." The man says. "I said I don't know anything about the Resistance!" Ava spits. "The hard way it is." The man says, turning and raising his hands to remove his mask. A release of air sounds and the man drops his mask on the ground, turning. Ava is taken aback. His features are striking and he is younger than she thought. Maybe even the same age as her. Ava swallows again. "I know you are feared, but I don't fear you." Ava says quietly. "Your mind says otherwise." He says. Ava panics quickly putting up the mental wall she was trained to have in these types of situations. Rey taught her how to guard her mind. "I see someone has taught you well. But I was taught better." He says kneeling beside the chair, close to Ava's face. Ava's breathing is slightly labored feeling the man try and pry open her mind. "No." Ava says firmly, closing her eyes. "You can't fight me." The man says barely a whisper. Ava starts to feel a pain in her temples that spreads to her forehead and then to the crown of her head. Her body weakens but her mind doesn't. The man raises a hand to the side of Ava's head. Ava knows this man is strong but he is young and not strong enough. The pain worsens. "I said, no!" Ava shouts opening her eyes. The man leans back surprised lowering his hand. He gets up swiftly grabs his mask, throwing it on and leaving the room. Ava watches him go feeling extremely weak. 'Did I just beat Kylo Ren in a mind battle?'
