The Night In The Hospital

"Are the tubes gone from my nose?" Izzy asked us.

"Yeah Izz, and I want to tell you something." I say.

"What is it?" She asked me.

"I'm really proud of you for getting through your first surgery and being really brave. I knew you could do it." I exclaimed as I wrapped her up in a hug while sitting on her hospital bed. She hugged me back as she layed her head on my shoulder.

"Thanks Jake, that really means a lot, and..." Izzy says as she lifted her head up.

"I'm sorry guys, for crying. I don't even know why I was crying." Izzy says.

"Izz, it's alright and besides we're here for you when you feel like this. It was just a shock for you to wake up in the recovery room with your eyes taped shut and having tubes up your nose. Crying is a common side effect from the anesthesia." I exclaimed, as I wrapped my arm around her while she leaned into me. I'm glad that she's back with us.

"Thanks Jake. And thanks guys for being there for me before I was taken down for my surgery." Izzy says, as she hugged me.

"It's no problem Izz. Group hug." I exclaimed, as Cubby came joined in, so I put my arm around him while I felt Izzy's hand on mine. Skully leaned his head against my head.

"Izz, we've got a surprise for you." I say, as we pulled apart. I picked up the gift basket and put it on her hospital bed.

"Awww, you guys got me all of this?" Izzy asked us, while I started to blush a deep red.

"Nope, it was all Jake. He bought you all of this." Cubby exclaimed, as Izzy looked at me, with a smile on her face. I love that smile.

"Thank you Jake, you're the best." Izzy says. I took out the first gift. It was the teddy bear.

"Here you go, Izz." I say, as I passed her the teddy bear to her. She smiled and cuddled it in her arms.

"What else did you get me?" Izzy asked me, as she layed down in her hospital bed. I took out Minnie Mouse toy and blanket.

"I got you a Minnie Mouse toy and blanket." I say, as I wrapped her with the Minnie Mouse blanket and Izzy took Minnie Mouse toy in her arms. She smiled as she cuddled the Minnie Mouse toy and teddy bear in her arms.

"Thank you Jake, you know me so well." Izzy says. As I do know her so well. We all went through the gifts I got her and it was nearly nighttime. During the mean time, there was a TV in the room, so we've been watching episodes of House of Mouse. It's really funny, I think my favourite episode is 'House of Genius'. We've been laughing at it until we heard a certain girl fall asleep; Izzy. I was about to turn the TV off until Cubby told me not too.

"Jake, don't turn it off, it's too funny." Cubby exclaimed, while he was laughing.

"But we might wake Izzy up." I say, as I looked at Izzy.

"Jake. Izzy's a deep sleeper, she won't wake up to this." Cubby says, as I shrugged since he is right. She is a deep sleeper. We continued to watch House of Mouse and then we watched Phineas and Ferb. We were laughing so much. Izzy was still sleeping as she was turning from side to side and she was cuddling onto her Minnie Mouse toy. I'm glad I got that for her as I can see that she's smiling.

"Jake, I'm getting tired. What time is it?" Cubby asked me. I looked at the clock and it was 10:45 pm.

"It's 10:45pm, you can go to sleep if you want too." I said to him as he nodded and he went over to the couch and he got on the couch and he immediately fell asleep. I decided to sit in the chair next to Izzy and I started to stroke her cheek and I kissed her on the forehead.

"I'm really proud of you Izz, you were so brave today for your first surgery. You were scared at first but you were still brave. I don't know anyone braver than you." I whispered into her ear and I held her hand. She had a small smile on her face and she kind of squeezed my hand. She still held onto her Minnie Mouse toy. I smiled as she looks so cute even in a hospital gown.

I decided to fall asleep next to her well not exactly next to her but I leaned my head down on her hospital bed with our hands conjoined. I fell asleep next to her.
