"During the 21st century the planet was almost destroyed by a phenomenon called 'Global Warming'. Though the 21st century is mainly considered to be the Golden Age of Technology, many forget that it also brought about man made pollution. With the coming of new Technology in both entertainment and transportation, the human populace began to corrupt the planet with greenhouse gasses that slowly tore a holes in the ozone layer; which in result heated up the planet. Towards the end of the 21st century the planet was close to reaching what scientists of the time considered 'the breaking point'. All was not lost though as the worlds' greatest scientists banded together to save the planet from the errors of humanity. They formed the organization NAWSTOP to save the planet. Its thanks to their efforts that we celebrate Terra-reformation Day in the ways we do today. As I'm sure you all remember from your world history classes last year. I am aware that your science teacher last year had you all discover other ways to reuse heat that is given off from all sources to help keep the weather on the planet under 85 degrees Fahrenheit that would still allow for rain clouds to form. It was my understanding that you all did a great job, however this year is not as simple. Your task today is to find a way to improve the lives of animal species that resides on the planet. As you all are science majors in the school; you are all excused from your other classes today until your project is complete. I will be walking the room grading each group as you work on your projects. Remember that you will be graded on every little detail of your project from beginning to end. That does include any mistakes that you may make whilst doing your projects."
"Yes Ms. Walker" the class said in unison.
I looked over at my friends Liam and Takoda, with a huge grin on my face. We spent the whole night before holochatting with each other about what we should improve for Terra-reformation Day. We decided to assist land and sea animals breathe in different altitudes that they were used to. We came up with the idea when Takoda and I discovered that our friend Liam was afraid of flying in our aviation class due to him being spliced with frog and bearded dragon dna. Since we had already chosen how we would contribute to the reformation of the earth, we wasted no time in starting our experiment.
"Max make you sure you calculate the altitude correctly for the first simulation. We want to start our specimen at the very top of the troposphere and work it down. That way we can see the very extreme of what could happen to it and then we can run simulations as it would slowly move up in the troposphere." said Takoda
"Max don't listen to him. You and I both know that the specimen would die instantly if it was suddenly that high up in the air. All Takoda wants to do is see the specimen blow up from the air pressure." said Liam
"That is so untrue Liam. You make it sound like I'm sort of sadistic person who like watching others suffer."
"For all I know you could be Takoda. Weren't you the one who asked his parents to be injected with nanites to become more like your ancient ancestor who lived centuries ago, who in legend was physically superior to others in his time period."
"Would the two of you please focus on the project at hand. " I said to them trying to keep my voice leveled. " I have the simulation ready for our first test." with that they immediately stopped and focused on the task at hand. Since Liam was a spliced human we thought it would be best if we ran our simulation on a frog and bearded dragon. As we were beginning the simulation we could feel Ms. Walker's gaze upon us. We started the simulation with both the frog and bearded dragon simply being raised in the atmosphere to see what would happen if they suddenly decided to take flight like a bird would. I turned on the simulation and our specimens' vitals began to drop almost immediately. Within a few seconds of the simulation our specimens' were lifeless before even reaching 10 feet in the air.
