"Rahil!?",Anna called out for her six year old daughter.
"Yes mama", Rahil said getting up from the ground and dusting her her hands together and running towards the house.
"It dinner time little one", Anna said grasping the hands of her daughter as they made their way into the house.
They went into the kitchen, washed their hands and entered the dining room were Reece sat awaiting his family.
Rahil was a very beautiful girl with two different eye colours, one was a mint green colour and the other an electric blue. Reece decided that they leave the town and settle in the nearby forest because he thought staying in the town will bring more harm to his wife and his daughter, as his Kings men were out lurking into the cities and town for him.
"Papa", Rahil said running into the arms of his father.
"How are you sweety?",Reece asked kissing the temples of his daughter.
"Am fine papa", Rahil said sitting on her fathers lap.
Anna was serving the food while Reece and Rahil were having their father and daughter conversation.
"Rahil come sit, it's time to eat", Anna said helping Rahil take a sit by her.
They ate in comfortable silence, when dinner was over Rahil helped her mother clean up.
When they were both done Anna bathed her daughter.
"Now my little girl is all cleaned up", Anna said pinching Rahil's cheeks.
Anna braided Rahil's hair and dressed her up in her pajamas.
"Goodnight dear", Anna said kissing her daughters head.
Anna was making her way out of Rahil's room but stopped when she heard her daughter saying "Mama my teddy bear". Anna smiled softly and gave her daughter the teddy bear.
"Is she asleep?", Reece questioned his wife.
"Yes she is now", Anna said going into the bathroom, after doing her routine she was out dressed in her nightgown.
"Are you okay?", Anna asked Reece softly getting into the bed.
"Yeah" he paused for a moment "Just worried about our safety", he sighed pulling Anna close to him.
"Don't worry they won't be able to find us" Anna breathed out "For now", she ended.
Reece sniffed the neck of his wife "Well aren't you hungry, just don't drink much", her voice dripped sacarsm.
"Can I?", Reece asked Anna his eyes turning red with his fangs poking out.
Anna did not have time to answer as Reece has already bit into her neck.
Rahil was shifting and turning on her bed, she couldn't sleep. She got up and walked to her window which had a sizeable bed were she can sleep under the moonlight.
She opened the windows and lay on the bed with her teddy bear.
Things were moving during the night, death lurking for their next target but innocent Rahil doesn't know.
Movement in was going through the forest, something was running fast and Rahil had cut the sight of it.
The figure stopped infront of her window staring up at her while she stared back.
The figure started moving close to her window and it jumped up to her window frightening poor Rahil.
"Am so hungry, but you are too small for my appetite", said a man as he stared at the little child infront of him.
"If you are hungry I can tell mama to make food for you", Rahil said to the man.
The man chuckled darkly.
Such an innocent child but she's lucky I know how to control my appetite or I would have her dead body in my arms now , the man thought staring at the child.
He knelt to her level "What's your name creature?", he asked playing with the Rahil's hair.
"Rahil", Rahil answered "And what do you mean by creature?", Rahil questioned.
"Nothing Rahil and by the way I love your eyes", he told her.
"Don't tell anybody about what you saw or about me you understand, because if you don't something bad will happen", the man said carrying Rahil to her bed.
"Now sleep okay and one thing never leave your windows open", he warned as he made his way back to the window.
"Are we clear little one?", he glanced back at Rahil that was staring at him in utter confusion.
"Yes", Rahil said and the man jumped out of her window and hid into the dark.
