My Birthday

Hailey's POV

"Hey sis time to wake up!" My extremely annoying brother yelled. "Come on Hailey its our birthday. You have to wake up to celebrate." He said. "Correction Aiden, the only thing I get to celebrate is you becoming alpha today, and our horrid parents moved out by the end of the night." I told him. " And thats exactly why you should get up! You have to get ready for the ceremony, and to say goodbye to Mom and Dad. Its already 2 p.m!"

"Fine. But you owe me big time." I said. "Oh don't worry Hailey. The after party will make up for it. Our whole pack along with the Shadow pack, are going to be there. And the alpha is going to be there too. You do know that he became alpha last year. Maybe, he could even turn out to be your mate".

Little did he know how right that theory would end up being.

My name is Hailey Greenwood. I turn seventeen today, along with my twin brother Aiden. And if you haven't already guessed it, he takes the alpha title today from my father.

Luckily, that also meens that my parents move out of the pack house, and into their own house somewhere in pack territory. Yeah I live my parents, but they are strict. Even though they barely pay any attention to me in the last two months. They are so focused on Aiden becoming alpha, that nothing else matters.

Aiden is my only sibling. And I love and adore him to death. Hes te only one I feel like I can go to. Well... Him and my best friend Alayna.

Alayna, Aiden, and I have been together since birth. Our parents are close friends, and Alayna's Dad is my father's Beta. Our mothers even planned on getting pregnant at the same time.

And no... Alayna and Aiden are not mates. Even though they would make the best couple by far. You see, us werewolves have soulmates. Or mates as we call them. They are the gravity that keeps us on this earth, the other half to our soul, the one we are destined to be with the rest of your life. And there is no rejecting your mate, like all those stories tell you. Because if you reject your mate, you both die...Harsh right?

I've been waiting ever since my first shift at the age of thirteen, for my mate to come along. I know that as soon as he finds me, or I find him, he is going to sweep me off my feet and take me away from this pack.

I only have four people in the Greenwood pack that I would miss. My parents, Aiden, and Alayna. Yeah I'm popular because i'm the alpha's daugter, but I only have one real friend who doesn't care what my title is. And thats Alayna.

So as soon as I find my mate I want him to take me away and to his pack.
