Overwhelmed

"Oh my god." I thought. Did that really just happen?! Not only did I get bumped by some asshole in the hallway, but michael just made it clear that I was his girl.
We finally arrive to class just in time before the bell rang.

"Students! Students! Please get your green biology books out and open up to page 187 please." The teacher announced.
I look over at michael since he has been silent every since we sat down, and that's not him at all.

"Michael?"

"Yea?"

"You alright?" I asked him concerned

"Yea, I'm.... I'm cool." He said letting out a big breath.
"Ok, I was just making sure, because I've never seen you that upset."

"Neither have I." He admitted. "I almost ripped that guys head off."

"Look at me michael." I said placing my hand on his thigh. He looks over at me and I notice his eyes are back chocolate brown.
"It's ok, just let it go. Things happen." I said trying to calm him.

"UH UM." The teacher loudly clears his throat. "I will not begin this lesson unless it is complete silence in here. Thank you." He says and me and michael both pay attention.
"So on page 187 we are examining the wolf. As you examine them you will notice their intense cravings. Their eyes being completely black at times, and their protectiveness over the things that they love. Wolves will also fight over their mates, or someone that they have a strong connection with. It is also hard for a wolf to stay a way from their mate as well."

I see michael looking at me out of the corner of my eye, my heart begins to accelerate. All these analogies about wolves are actually starting to freak me out, because everything the teacher is saying, is matching up with Michael's actions.

"If you see a wolf, you should try to stand tall and make yourself look large. Calmly but slowly back away and maintain eye contact. If the wolf does not run away immediately, continue making yourself large and keep using eye contact while you back away from the wolf. Any questions so far?" The teacher asks. Michael then raises his hand.

"Yes, Michael?"
"So you know how you said it's hard for the wolf to stay away from their mate? Why is that, because.."

"Well michael, that's a great question, but the reason for that is the wolf is completely in love with everything about their significant other. They often pay close attention to their heartbeat, and their scent. And they begin to be attached to it. Once they've found their mate, there's no separating them." The teacher answers back.

Michael then reaches under the desk and grabs my hand, I look over at him understanding what he might be trying to tell me.
"Are you a.......... Werewolf?" I whispered over to him, he looked over at me very hesitant and nodded.
