Asgardian Friendship

Y/N had been friends with all of the team for a while now, they regarded her as a young sister and they all knew that Tony would have liked her too if he had been here to meet her, especially as Peter loved her very much and Peter was like a son to him.

Peter and Y/N had met in university where they both Peter studied Quantum Physics. They bonded over they're love of tech, Star Wars and retro video games. They became best friends almost immediately and it let to her, Ned and Peter hanging out, building a lego Death Star and watching Jurassic Park. That night Ned had teased Peter about his crush on her, which was obvious to everyone apart from Y/N but didn't actually begin dating until way after they graduated. They were both twenty five now and Peter worked as an Avenger and also with Bruce in the lab, whereas Y/N worked manufacturing tech under Stark Industries which was now co-run by Pepper and Happy.

Both Y/N and Peter were granted the week off from work though to visit Thor in the new Asgard, a small but beautiful Nordic fishing village that was now run by Valkyrie, after Thor renounced the throne and handed it over to her.

Loki also lived in the new Asgard with Thor in a grand looking house upon a hill, he was still up to his usual mischief but he alot less lethal than he once was and him and Thor had actually been getting along the best they had in years since he had returned.

To everyone's surprise, including Thor's, his frost giant brother had returned around a year it was announced that he had died. Even Loki himself wasn't sure about how he had returned. Loki had now changed a lot since then and his brother had convinced him to wear more Midgardian attire and cut his hair, much like the rest of the village had, as a symbol of change and that he was moving on.

This was something that both Peter and Y/N were surprised by when they arrived in Asgard and were greeted by a short-haired, suit clad Loki with a similarly clad Thor in tow. They had expected Thor's short hair but not his suit and certainly not Loki's short hair or his suit either.
"Looking good, Mr Thor and Mr Loki, sirs." Peter said awkwardly as he bowed to the Nordic gods.
"Thank you Spiderling, it is good to see you again and it is lovely to finally meet you, Lady Y/N." Thor boomed out before Loki quickly joined in on the greetings, "It really is nice to meet you both, especially you, Lady Y/N." He said with his signature confident grin but had an overwhelming aire of sincerity which it didn't used to have.
"Loki!" Thor cursed his brother, "As you can see Peter is courting the Lady Y/N."
Loki just turned towards Thor and rolled his eyes before turning back towards Y/N and giving her another grin. Peter then glared at Loki, in an attempt to intimidate him but Loki just chuckled, as Peter and Y/N made their way to where their room, to unpack.

Later on that day, Thor was in the centre of the village with Peter helping out the citizens of Asgard, taking food and water to those in need and Loki began chatting with Y/N who was sitting in the lounge area, waiting for Peter to return.
"Why are you with that Spider-boy my dear? Why can't you be with me?" He pleaded, to which Y/N replied with, "I love him Loki, I really do and I would love to be friends with but please respect that it's him who I'm in love with."
First of all Loki scowled and his shoulders tensed and Y/N headed off to the room that she was staying in. She layed down on the plush bed, that were covering emerald green sheets and duvet covers. She sighed and shut her eyes, almost falling asleep when she heard a sharp knock of the door.
"Come in." Y/N rasped out, before the door opened slowly to reveal a guilty looking Loki.
"I apologise deeply Lady Y/N, I truly do not know what I was thinking." Loki said with a solemn look on his face.
Y/N placed a gentle hand on his shoulder, "Loki, please don't worry I forgive you." She said with a smile, before adding, "I would still love to be your friend if you would accept my friendship."
"It would be an honour." He said as he nodded and gave a bright, real smile, his first real smile in a very long time.
