Mason walks into my bedroom and laughs. "Not a morning person eh?"
"Yea I couldn't sleep, think Dylan was watching porn" I remarked sarcastically.
Masons face dropped, "I'll be downstairs get ready." He mumbles scratching the back of his neck. I knew I embarrassed him.
"I'm walking to school!" I waved to mason as I opened the front door. He ran after me "how come your walking"
"Because I want to, thanks." I replied bluntly
"Why are you upset with me?"
"Why aren't you taking your girlfriend to work?"
"Girlfrien-"
"Yea the one you fucked on my sofa"
"She's not my girlfrien-"
"So she's just some hookup.. even better"
"Just let me drive you to school it's not safe outside"

As I walked into school I felt the relief of confronting him. But why was I so angry at him?. "Hey baby!!" Charlotte jumps into my arms. "Hey.." I reply
"What's up?"
"Mason had a girl over last night"
"Oh shit, and your traumatised?" She laughed
"Pretty much yea" I giggle back.
"What have you got first period?" She rustles through her bag.
"Gym, I think" I sigh.

I pull out my phone to texts from mason.
"I didn't mean for you to hear that"
"I hope you got to school okay"
"I'm picking you up wether you like it or not"
"Earth to Jess!" Charlotte says waving in my face.
"What?"
"Chris is staring right at you."
"Okay and?"
"He probably likes you"
"I mean, I don't kno-"
"Jade is it?" Chris mumbles.
"Jess." I reply bluntly.
"Oh right. What's your snap b?"
"Lol earn it" I laugh then walk off to gym.
"Right class you guys all remember Mason Falls, from last year?..well today he's going to be a training coach so please go to him for any support"
Charlotte looks at me from across the hall, making sexual signs.
Mason?!! I forgot he was helping coach our Gym class...
He lookes directly at me out of everyone in class, he rubs the back of his neck and instantly looked down at the floor.
I am not going to have him around me 24/7.
"Coach, I need to leave class" I announce whilst raising my hand.
"Why is that Jessica? You never skip gym class" replied my coach
"Period pains" I say knowing it will make my coach uncomfortable and embarrassed.
Masons eyes widen. Maybe he didn't think I'd announce that infront of everyone.
"Off you go then, see you next gym class Jess"
I didn't have period pains. I'm not even on my period, but I do not want to be around mason right now.
Why am I so angry at him?
I sit in the corridors on my phone scrolling through tiktok, in the corner of my eye I see Chris coming towards me. I put my phone down and look up.
"Hello trouble!"
"Yes Chris..." I sighed
Don't get me wrong Chris isn't bad looking, but he's never paid me attention before. We've been in multiple classes together too.
"How do I earn you snap then?" He winked
"You know what's funny Chris? You have me on snap." I laugh
He blushes slightly.

He hands me his phone, I type in his phone my username and change my name to "hottest girl in school". I handed his phone back.
He smirked.
Why would I do that, I don't even know if I like Chris.
Later that day, I get indoors and Dylan is upstairs on his Xbox and Mason isn't home yet. "Dylan!!" I shout up the stairs. "Do you mind if I invite a boy over? And I won't tell mum you had a girl over" I lean against the banister waiting for him to acknowledge me. "Whatever I don't care"
I open my Snapchat on my phone and search for Chris, do I text first? Or is that too forward .. I know what I'll do, I'll type and won't send anything that way he gets a notification. I start to type on my phone "ahahidnentstha..." shit his bitmoji has popped up. I quickly swipe off the chats. My heart is racing. He sends a message back, I wait a whole 30 seconds before opening it. "You were typing???" I reply back "ahahidnentstha sorry wrong person" oh my god I forgot to delete the random words I was typing.
"🤣🤣 that is the oldest trick in the book, I was going to message you soon.. but I'm guessing you do like me then haha" At this point I'm sat on the chat. He's caught me out.
"Nooo, I was just wondering if you wanted to come over to chill and watch films💕" I launch my phone across the living room. THE ANXIETY

Half hour goes by and Chris has just turnt up, I answer the door and start giggling.
"What's so funny.." he says blushing
