Author's POV

After Sebastian left, you were feeling quite tired so you returned to your tent. Xander and William did the same as well. Despite Xanders complaints about not being able to accompany you.

You stepped inside the tent, slipping in to your nightgown, and lay down on the bed. For what felt like an eternity, you kept tossing on to your sides in attempt to fall asleep. Much to your dismay, you couldn't help but to remember the incident from the other night.

Refusing to be haunted by fear and paranoia, you got up, put on your robe, and head outside for some fresh air.

As you were walking around the circus, you hear a swoosh from above. You had a weird feeling of being watched by someone and started to be on guard. As you started walking again, you heard footsteps from behind just to turn around and see nothing.

Feeling a presence somewhere nearby but can't quite see, you became wary but refused to be obvious.

"Come out, you creepy stalker" you said to the shadow figure.

A thud was heard from behind.

"I'm surprised you even noticed me"

You turned to see the blonde shinigami.

"Well hello to you too, Knox" you said sarcastically to him.

"Good evening, my lady" he said, trying to mock the butlers.

"What is young lady, such as yourself, doing out here at this hour?" He questioned.

You just shrug and said "Needed some fresh air"

"Can't sleep, huh" he guessed.

"Is something bothering you?" Sounding a bit concern this time.

"It's nothing" you refuse to remember what was bothering you and hope he would just brush it off.

"It doesn't look like nothing. Come on, doll face. You can tell me" he cooed, trying his best to comfort you.

You sighed in defeat.

"Well, the other night-" before you could continue, you heard a voice from behind you.

Xander's POV

I lay on the bed for hours with nothing interesting to do. It had been a couple of hours since Sebastian left to town and since I last saw my angel.

Pretending to sleep is the only thing I could do here. I closed my eyes momentarily, before sensing my angel.

She's talking to someone.

What is she doing out of bed so late I wonder.

I turned to my snake form and snuck out of the tent. Once I was outside, I returned to my butler form.

I started to walk towards my angels aura, an aura I'm still not used to. However, she was easy to detect. An easy target for many predators. I grunt at the thought.
